This toy is adorable. The wooden dowel makes it easier to thread then shoelace-style threaders for my toddler who is working on fine motor skills. The string is just long enough to go through several holes but not get overly tangled.

This item is just ok. The concept is good, but more attention to sanding it smooth is needed. Several of the holes are rough so the cord doesn’t slide through as easily as it should. I wouldn’t gift this item in its current condition, but hopefully the manufacturer will make the improvements so it becomes a giftable toy.

I purchased this wooden lacing cheese for my nephew, who is nearly 2 years old. He seems to be a good age for this toy. It is well-sized for his tiny hands to hold and turn. The "mouse" needle on a string seems smoothly finished and securely attached. The cheese itself is nicely painted and feels sturdy. The holes are a fun challenge since they are set at various angles. My nephew likes putting the mouse in one hole and looking to see where it will pop out on the other side. The string is long enough to allow for several paths to be laced through the cheese. My only criticism is that some of the holes are a bit rough on the inside. Not enough to cause a safety concern, but I am wondering if the string may fray over time from passing against the rough wood. All in all, I am happy with this purchase and I think this will be a good toy for travel and for quiet times.

I know this was a threading toyfor children. But, it worked so well as a prop for my granddaughter's mousetrap that I made for Halloween!

Great toy! It's sturdy wood, sanded perfectly so no worry of splinters, and painted nicely. Just got it a few days ago and it's already taken a beating. Toddler likes to swing it in circles by the string-very durable since the string has yet to rip off. The string is long enough to lace all the holes in the block. Good size for little hands! Great product. Would recommend!
