Practice Exam for the Civil PE Exam: BREADTH + WATER RESOURCES DEPTH (Sample Exams for the Civil PE Exam)

There is no contact information with instructions on how we can inform the author of errors and no Errata information for us to see previous errors that have been found by others. I would give the book more stars as the problems given and the difficulty seem to match the actual exam adequately but there are lots of obvious errors way more than I would like especially when trying to use this book as a study tool for such an important exam. The errors i've found are just on the problems where I actually know what I'm doing. I'm only are the 5th problem (pg. 9) and there are already 2 problems that have had very obvious errors in them. Plus the preface in my book also has an error. I'm afraid to think of the errors that could be in the problems where I don't know how to solve them.

Took the test in 2017. Used this book to prepare. Prepared me for the real thing much better than Lindeburgs stuff. Passed the test first try.

I used this as a practice exam & resource for the April PE exam (I passed). At least 2 questions on the exam were exactly the same (with different numbers). I highly recommend going through this. Don't get too frustrated if you can't finish in 4 hours - this is slightly harder than the actual exam.As the previous comments mentioned, there are a few mistakes in the solutions.

Excellent question breadth. I would highly recommend this for someone who wants a more realistic question set as opposed to the impossibly difficult PPI test questions. Also, a great tool to bring to the exam.

There are enough errors in this book to make it effectively unusable for PE studying. Our group tried to work through these problems (including two MSs and one PhD), and spent far more time trying to figure out what the problems, and then solutions, were getting at than actually productively remembering the material. I would not recommend to anyone who does not have six extra hours to kill for no reason.

I think there was an error or two but overall it was a great way to practice for the test. I would say the afternoon portion is spot on if not a little easier than the real exam. The morning is definitely harder than the real thing. I would still try to finish the entire test in 8 hours though. I did this and I just found out I passed my PE with an 84!

Good book for practice problems. The problems are more difficult than the actual exam, but not as out of line as the 6 Minute Solutions problems.

Book is okay, too many questions with mistakes. For example, question 523 says the problem is for a confined aquifer and the solution is done for an unconfined one. Things like this are typical for the book and will drive you insane as you study for the PE.
