Lacks flavor and is bitter. The only way I find it drinkable is to put 2 tsp in the infuser and steep for no more than 3 minutes. If left for any longer the bitterness comes out. If you just put 1 tsp in the infuser you get weak tea with no flavor. This is from a package that was picked June, 2015. Maybe 2015 was a bad year, but I have found better alternatives such as  Twinings Assam Strong and Mighty 80 Tea Bags . ### ⭐ Old tea in new box *by D***1 on Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2015* The web site listed fresh picked 2015 Harvest; label on box states picked June 2015 but sealed pkg inside states picked September 2014. They packed old tea in new box. ### ⭐ Wrong Year’s Tea *by O***1 on Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2016* Like some other reviewers, the box I received said the tea was picked June 2015 (as advertised), but the bag inside the box was labeled Sept 2014. I wouldn’t have minded that if the tea was good, but it just isn’t. I bought this tea based on the great reviews and the name “Signature Malt.” A truly malty Assam is my favorite tea. The tea I received has NO malt flavor at all. It has no gold tips and is vaguely sweet taste but with a slight vegetal taste.
