Fantastic scales - Highly Recommended!
For the price these scales are absolutely brilliant!!No, they are not made out of Vibranium, but what do you expect at only £15! The base is plastic, but so what!? It's perfectly solid and suitable for the purpose that it is intended. If you want to throw them around the kitchen and not expect to break, then they are not for you. Buy a discus! If you are going to use them for the correct purpose, ie weighing things then they are brilliant. Although the (failed) Heston ones I have are heavier, these are far more accurate and the readings more far stable. The Heston ones have, were always a bit iffy and now that they have failed completely after only 4 years I cannot even get Salter to reply to my request to return them under warranty! These scales are only a third of the cost of Heston ones too. It's a no brainer to me.One particular stand out feature is that the smaller, accurate scale weighs to 0.01 gram ! I did not see this info in the description, having looked for it, but was pleasantly surprised as I was only expecting 0.01 gram like the Heston ones....which are going in the bin.

BETTER THAN EXPECTED
A few days ago my trusty digital kitchen scales ceased to work.I regularly make bread and do a fair amount of other cookery and much of the time rough measurements and cooks intuition will suffice. For measuring small quantities, such as salt or dried yeast, the resolution of the run-of-the-mill domestic-quality digital scales is sometimes unpredictable. This Taylor Pro product meets my requirements without breaking the bank. After reading some negative reviews, I was slightly reluctant to purchase this product but my concerns proved unfounded after a few minutes of testing. I can't confirm its durability but after un-boxing and fitting two AAA batteries I tested the unit. Armed with a set of metric test weights I was very pleased to confirm that the unit was accurate. My next important test was to weigh some salt, which can be troublesome on cheap scales, the scales failing to refresh until too much has been added. On the small platform of the Taylor Pro, the addition of just a few grains of salt resulted in a new reading with only a short lag of display refresh. With a large glazed ceramic mixing bowl on the large platform I was happy that the displays were still easy to read and controls buttons were easy to operate.I paid about fifteen quid so I have no criticism relating to plastic quality at the price. In summary, I'd recommend this product.

Excellent for baking, but they turn off too soon
Really smart design, I can use my 7l stainless bowl on them and still see the display. The smaller scale is very handy for micro measurements for pre ferments etc. Only gripe is they auto power off after 1 minute if there's no weight change. It sounds a long time but if you get distracted or have to go digging through your cupboards it's REALLY irritating if you're halfway through measuring. ****EDIT***** The scale developed a fault after 3 weeks. The units on each scale went out of sync and as I only work in grams it made them pretty much unusable. Full refund given by amazon and I've since bought the heston ones, while they definitely aren't as precise as claimed the build quality is vastly superior. Fingers crossed they last.

Brilliant Set of scales
I ordered a new set of scales when my last set broken and after much deliberation went for these and have not been disappointed.I use the scales for cooking and baking as well as weighing out portion size as part of a specific diet. I mostly use the main scale and have tested them somewhat for accuracy and have found them to be excellent and enough for my needs, although I am sure that others will be putting the accuracy through much more rigorous testing than me. But if you want some great scales for baking, then these are excellent.I do use the microscale for a few things, weighing ground coffee and loose tea for specific amounts (2.5grammes). It is hard to test to micro levels in the kitchen and again I have found them to be as accurate as I need them to be and get excellent results. The scales do feel a bit flimsy in comparison to the last scales I owned (Heston Blumenthal's scales), having dropped them, I am satisfied that are fairly robust - but wouldn't recommend being too clumsy with them. The on-off also feels a bit 'click-y' and cheap, but then I didn't pay premium price for them, so I have to take that into account. I like their size and their footprint on the counter is good.Based on my own experience, if you want a good set of scales and they don't need to look, feel and be robust, then I would recommend them.

Great scale especially for measuring small amounts
We feed our cats 7g of dry food each meal (they get a lot of meals, don't worry!) and our previous scale didn't differentiate well between 5 and 10g which was frustrating. This one is great - we get loads of use out of the secondary weighing platform as well.

I love it!
Thought £28 insanely pricey for a set of kitchen scales but I love them. Very precise, easy to read the weight, quite smart. If I'd had to pay postage - or wait a week for delivery - I'd never have bought these but I'm very glad I did.

Scale no longer changes units
Bought this scale in mid July. It's now January 2nd and the scale no longer changes units, which makes it useless. Really a shame because we really liked the scale up until this point.

Unbrauchbar

Best price dual scale
Much better price than the other big brands. Bought two for the household. One of them had issues with the LCD display, it wasn't showing all the numbers, had to returned it.The one which works fine is so great. It is accurate and very sensitive, even a few drops of water that I'm adding to it will be counted in, which most other scales can't sense it.There's a button for on/off, I can turn it off manually to save battery when finish using. It's also convenient as it uses 2xAAA.It stays on for about 1 minute when not touching, that's long enough for me to grab something and come back.Love it after using it for nearly two months. I'll try my luck again. Hope the next one comes will be working, too.
