I had one useless pad that just got tossed each time I needed ...
I ordered these to help with my sesamoiditis rather than pay a podiatrist ridiculous amounts of money for custom orthotics. This is actually the second brand I tried. Initially I ordered PediFix Pedi-gel Dancer's Pads, 2-Count , which were acceptable but had a few drawbacks. First, the PediFix pads came in pairs, while I only needed a left foot pad. Since you cannot simply flip the right pad over and use it on your left foot, I had one useless pad that just got tossed each time I needed a new pad. Second, the PediFix is a tad thinner than the Dr. Jill's and doesn't protect as well. Third, the PediFix is clear. This may not be a huge issue for many people, but I have a larcenous kitten than runs off with anything left withing her considerable reach. The purple Dr. Jill's pad is considerably easier to find than the clear PediFix.Now, on to the Dr. Jill's pad itself. It is the perfect thickness for my needs. I tried the thicker version ( Dr. Jills Double Thick Gel Dancer Pads for Left Foot *2 Pack* ), but they were too thick for me and caused my foot to hurt in other areas. Your mileage may vary in this situation. While the pad has not cured my sesamoiditis, my foot does not tend to hurt as long as I am actually wearing the pad. It will generally stay on without shoes as long as I wash it fairly regularly, and I have never had it move around once I applied it and allowed the heat of my foot to "bond" it for a few minutes. I find that a single pad will last about a month with washing every few days to maintain stickiness. Getting two months' use of a single package of pads is a great value. My only real complaint about the pads is that the cutout is shaped oddly and far too small. However, this is a simple fix. I now have a template of exactly how my cutout should be shaped. It is a simple matter to then cut it to fit with a pair of regular household scissors. The result is not as pretty as the original, of course, but I am going for comfort, not looks. And I don't go around showing off my ball-of-the-foot pads to people anyway.

Overall awesome product for a great price
This tremendously helped the pain I was having from sesamoiditis. The pad is just the right thickness and sticks very well. It stays sticky. The only negative is that if you run with it on and your feet sweat, it won't stick. After playing basketball with it on and taking my sock off, the pad had moved to my arch. Wrapping the pad to the ball of my foot will probably solve that problem. Overall awesome product for a great price.

Amazing, Affordable Product for a Horrible Injury (sesamoiditis)
After a pretty useless visit to my doctor (who prescribed ibuprofen and avoiding hard surfaces), I did some pretty extensive research and figured out I had sesamoiditis in my left foot. Other people's descriptions of multi-month or multi-year suffering were really disheartening, and I assumed I would be plagued by this injury for a very long time. I was slightly skeptical of the healing powers of these foot pads, figuring they'd provide some temporary relief at best, but after using them religiously for 4 straight weeks, I'm a serious believer. The pain in my left foot is almost completely gone, and I'm actually considering purchasing a set for my right foot as well since I've had some pain there.I am pretty sure that the injury was triggered by taking a ballet class for the first time in 6 months (jumping on a hard surface in canvas slippers), and that running and other activities aggravated it, as I am pretty active. While I had a hard time running with the pads inside my sneakers, I found that I could actually run quite comfortably without them in my Nike Flyknit Lunarglides (which were not purchased for running but also turned out to be a savior with this injury). I wore the pads the rest of the time, switching off between the 2 pads provided (they are pretty easy to clean with soap and water and then you just let them air dry). I even wore them while traveling and they didn't trigger anything through the security sensors, etc. I was able to fit them inside all of my sneakers and ballet flats, though I avoided heels for the first 6 weeks or so and did not try them in heels. SO glad I found these!!

Great, but last few orders unusable
These are great for sesamoiditis and I’ve ordered multiple pads. For that, I’d give it five stars. However, the last two orders have been overly sticky and you can’t remove from the clear plastic. See another shopper’s video above, as it’s exactly what I encountered. So I paid for the pad but can’t return it. Not eligible for return.

Help for my dying sesamoid!
I have bee diagnosed with acascular necrosis of the sesamoid bone in my left foot. I've seen my podiatrist, I wear custom insoles and I've tried cortosteroid shots but it's still painful. I ordered these gel pads in hopes they might help.Today was the first day I put a pad on my foot and so far I'm very impressed. It stuck well and has stayed in place under my sock and inside my shoe. I've noticed some pain relief when walking around at work and I'm hopeful these may help me avoid surgery!
