It works for inflation.
It works for inflation on the twin valve ThermaRest Mondo King sleeping pad, but it can’t do the deflation do to the MondoKing not have the newer Twist lock valve that can flow air both ways. The MondoKing has two valves ONE in ONE OUT valve, and it has foam padding inside the pad. So it’s not totally comparable with the MondoKing sleep Pad. Beware

What a Terrible Product - Purchase Another Brand to Fill Your Therm-A-Rest Pad!
This is just a terrible product. I have a Therm-A-Rest MondoKing 3D Sleeping Pad, which I've used for over 10 years. This pad makes me think highly of Therm-A-Rest as a company. I'm glad I had enough foresight to test this pump out before I went camping (and be able to return it within the window as well). When I put batteries in it and ran it, it sounded very weak. I left it running for over an hour, and all that happened was the batteries were almost dead and the pad was only slightly more inflated than leaving it to self inflate. The description claims: (1) "Inflates compatible pads in about 3 minutes", and (2) "Single battery set inflates your pad roughly 25 times". Nonsense! From the recommendations of another review on here I purchased a FLEXTAILGEAR Air Pump and pumped up the same pad in 90 seconds. Thanks to Amazon for their great return policy, but no Thanks to Therm-A-Rest for selling this terrible product.

This things works Great
It's a Micro pump. It's made for the Therm-a-rest pad with the new style valve. I don't have one of those but with a little ingenuity you can make an adapter to use on any mattress and any valve. I use it to inflate a full size coleman air mattress. It worked great and even handled the deflation. It's a little pricey but it's very small and takes up less room and less weight. I am glad I decided on this one.

Works, just not as fast as advertised
I bought this since it was taking 40 breaths to inflate my Thermorest neoair pad. It certainly does inflate it much easier than manually! What I don't like is that I just have to start it and walk away. 10 minutes later, the pad is as full as it's going to get. Maybe I was just hopeful that it would only take 3 minutes or so. Changing to fresh batteries did not make much of a difference. What I really like is how it deflates the pad. Start it and when I get back to the pad, it's mostly flat. When I roll it up, there is always a little air that I expel just before putting it away. This pump has made putting the pad away very simple. The only addition that I would like to see is the use of a rechargeable battery. Having to carry additional AAA batteries is something I would prefer not to have to do.

Smaller than expected, moves less air than expected
The pump works fine, but it's tiny and takes quite some time to inflate the Thermarest air pad we bought it for. Again, it works so we really can't complain too much, but it's really quite slow. For the price, we recommend you buy something a little more substantial that moves a greater amount of air per minute.

Not what I expected
Purchased this because it is a Therm-a-Rest product for my Therm-A-Rest pad. So, despite the review, I went ahead and got it. Not the best choice I made. It is light weight. But that is about it. I followed the directions on both the pump and the pad. Installed the batteries, opened the valve and set it to inflate, attached the pump the pad, and turned it on. It says it is supposed to inflate this pad within minutes. Ten minutes later (I timed it) the pad was just as limp as before I started. No inflation noted. This my friend is NOT a good sign. I then inflated the pad (without the pump), moved the wing-fixture to deflate, attached the pump in the deflate mode, and over five minutes later the pad was just as inflated as before. Opinion on this? If I were to use this and depend on it working, my pad would not be inflated. And over ten minutes and no inflation, that will not work on a backpacking trip. Fortunately, the pump was still in the return phase so back it went. I will ultimately get a different pump and hopefully this new pump will work. We shall see. My thought? I may have just gotten a bad one. That is possible. But with it not working I certainly cannot use it. If you decide to purchase one, just be aware that it may be fine and work as advertised or you may have poor luck and get one that is questionable. The company makes good products and I'm sure they would have fixed it (possibly at a significant cost) but I choose to send it back.

Works great if you use it properly
I'm an avid backpacker and have had a Thermarest NeoAir Xtherm (old style) and their older inflate-only pump for several years. I wanted to try the new pump, so upgraded to the new pad with wing-valve. I'm very happy with both new items. This pump feels much sturdier than the old one, and is slightly smaller. To get your pad to easily inflate, open the valve and first blow a breath of air in to loosen up the flapper; then the pump works as it should. Be sure to connect the pump properly and make sure there is plenty of open area at the intake end so it can get air (make sure it's not up against the wall of the tent, your gear, ets.). Some reviewers who said it didn't work probably experienced the flapper not being loose enough to allow the pump to work well. On deflate, it works best if you don't pre-deflate the pad, that is, don't open the valve while you're still laying on it. It doesn't take all the air out, it just can't, but it did okay and then just a tight roll up should do the trick. However, I preferred to still deflate the pad manually--just works better for me plus I wanted to preserve battery life on the pump. FYI, even without the pump the wing valve on the new pad is a VAST improvement, makes inflating and deflating much easier.

Inefficient and useless piece of gear
Either a faulty unit or an extremely weak and inefficient design. Could not inflate or deflate a Therm-a-Rest Trail Scout - running for five minutes straight. Experimented on four Therm-a-Rest sleeping pads with WingLock valves. Do not waste money on this pump.

Deux piles pour trois semaines d'utilisation c'est une affaire qui marche plutot bien

Had both this & the flexgear.. would choose this again
Things I like:affirmative clicking onto the thermarestNot obnoxiously loud (but it does take more time than the flextail)Batteries will last a long time (I use rechargeable)Small & lightweightWell constructedThings I don’t like:Batteries.. would of preferred usb chargingNot as powerful as the flextail - takes about 3-4 minutes longer (but you don’t have to baby sit it like you do with the flextail - you literally just plug it in and get on with other things while it works)All in all, the thermarest pump is superior & I would recommend to any compatible thermarest owner.

Bin zufrieden

Very weak and slow
This pump couldn't inflate Therm-A-Rest NeoAir XTherm NXT in 15 minutes! Very slow and disappointing(( Waste my money.
