Woodchucks Wood Maple, Walnut, Cherry Boards for Making Cutting Boards. Pack of 18

I’ve purchased this wood 3 times from this company. It is easy and convenient wood for DIY’ers that do not have proper power tools to mill and plane their own wood. I have found the wood quality, thickness, and planning of the wood to be consistent. Very few of the boards are bowed and even so, they are slightly bowed. I have used this wood for cutting boards both as a long edge and end grain edge and both cuts of wood have held up quite well over the last 3 years

If you are looking for some quick material to make a cutting board or two this is about as easy as it gets. Nicely planed and sanded boards that are about 90% ready to go right out of the box. Not every board is perfect so some may need to be run through the table saw/jointer and I think out of the two boxes I have purchased, there were maybe two boards I could not use. I have made three cutting boards out of the pieces I have received (approx 10" wide) and I think I have enough for at least one more, possibly two. Great product!

Until now I thought that everyone who puts 5 stars reviews are not honest. But I am so satisfied with the quality that it would be so unfair to put anything less than 5 stars. The boards were all straight, dry and every inch usable. I made a very beautiful cutting board which I am going to sell next week. I also ordered more wood so that I can use on my upcoming projects. I love the people that sell this wood cause obviously they care about quality. Update : Since then I've placed multiple orders with them and the quality has been a hit or miss. Sometimes I get perfect boards but some have big differences in colors, multiple gaps and some aren't straight so you may end up losing material to get them good. That's why I'll take off a star. Other times have been perfect though, I'll still keep buying wood from them. I hope they send me better boards over time since I am a consistent buyer. I will definitely update my review on future orders.

Second time ordering. Lumber is perfect, no cracks or knots anywhere. Wood is milled very nice. For what this is, I couldnt be happier. Very high quality. Perfect for wood projects, especially if yoy dont have alot of milling equipment. All the pieces are the correct dimensions.

So I have been holding out on buying a planer and a jointer, but wanted to make a cutting board for a Christmas gift. I knew doing this type of joinery work without a planer or a jointer would be difficult, so wanted to find wood that was well planned and jointed so that I would be able to complete this project. I even purchased the set that was cheaper and I think labeled as not perfect, and was able to make this cutting board without too much trouble. Very happy with the product.

Lovely wood

I ordered this wood so that I’d have some variation in colour for a cutting board I plan to make. I took it to my friend who is teaching me and discovered that the wood isn’t squire at all and it is very expensive for what it is. Looks nice though and I hope to make a cross cut board with it.

6 of the boards were bowed pretty good. Better off going to your local lumber yard and picking your own. I got a pretty nice size board out of what was usable though.
