Living in an apartment, I love these things. They work really well. I use them for hanging pictures, surge protectors, and a metal coat rack thing I got. They've been holding up for the last 5 months or so, not sure they'll last forever. So far I've only had an issue with one spot on my walls where these took paint off. I'm not sure if it's a command thing or a wall/paint thing. These do not stick to fuzzy frame backs well, which is state on the box. I just use an extra one and don't do the thing where you peel it off the wall and wait an hour. We'll see what happens.

I love these command strips. They're easy to use and no holes in the walls!!!

The new packaging and instruction for command strips are difficult to use. (1) Not easy to remove the plastic backing from the adhesive (used to be paper), as if the strips all got overheated and glue stuck to the plastic. (2) the new instructions are hard to actually do! If you pair the velcro strips and then press to the wall for 30 seconds, it's easier to peel the entire thing off the wall than separate the velcro (the velcro is stronger than the adhesive). Plus, it's much more difficult to hang pictures straight if you have to reposition the frame and re-pair the velcro strips, found the new system very tedious. Seems like they changed the adhesive so that it is not as sticky initially and requires the complex instructions. Disappointing, big fan of velcro command strips historically

Command strips are a staple in my household. I use them for hanging everything so I don't have to put nails in my walls. They are easy to use and easy to remove. Something I think everybody should be using!!!

Update: on textured walls, some of these fell down after about 6 months. The picture frames fell, but using these with Command hooks, they are still holding up jackets on walls. However, if you apply them onto smooth walls, years later, they are still holding things up. ************************* I used these picture hanging strips to hang IKEA RIBBA frames on textured walls. The paint on my wall has sand in it for a textured look, so there are small bumps. It has been the bane of my life, not being able to hang frames. I used 2 sets of large strips for a 40 x 50 cm frame, one on each corner. I accidentally put them on the bottom corners, so the tag on the bottom pokes out the bottom. In hindsight, this is fine because I can be sure that I can get my fingers to them to pull the strip out to remove them. As I did it this way, I couldn't pull it away to allow it to adhere for 30 mins as recommended on the instructions. It didn't matter. The frame stuck like glue to the wall. It's been 2 days. It hasn't fallen off or moved. I didn't need to do that step. Really impressed. I did clean the wall with isopropyl alcohol where the strips were to be applied. Make sure you measure up the location and mark the corners on the wall. Watching YouTube videos before you do this is highly recommended. This item comes in a white padded envelope with an official Command instruction card. Not standard packaging, but I don't think that matters given the great price.

I use these to hang up completed puzzles. It's pretty durable and can hold the weight just fine.

Purchased these as I had to move some of my pictures around which had previously been hung using the same product. I've had no trouble with them and, providing you follow the instructions properly, the pictures will remain on the wall indefinitely. Having had to move some, I can confirm that the part that is stuck to the wall does come off cleanly and easily and does not leave any marks, residue or damage. I highly recommend this item.
