Fibrous material beware of the Provoke w/Veff Serrations.The industry-changing Kinematic innovation meets time-tested Veff Serrations to create a new iteration on the original Provoke morphing karambit knife. Rope, seatbelts, and netting never had a chance. Around here, we think of Designer Joe Caswell as somewhat of a mad scientist. When we got an eyeful of the sketches that were to become the Provoke—designed in Newbury Park, California—we knew he was destined to become one of the most innovative designers the knife world has ever seen. Modeled after a traditional karambit, the black oxide-finished hawkbill-style blade is forged of a premium D2 steel for high durability and excellent edge retention. As if it weren’t already powerful enough, it’s been given Veff Serrations for nearly unmatched slicing of rope and other fibrous materials. The opening mechanism is pulling the folder into the future whether it’s ready or not. Thumb pressure on the upper crossbar sets the chain reaction in motion, causing the blade to lunge to action while you’ve got a firm grasp on the handle. It’s crafted of aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum for supreme toughness. In true Joe fashion, the pocket clip is also a world’s first—sitting almost completely flush with the handle and likewise activated with light thumb pressure.The Provoke w/Veff Serrations comes up strong when it’s called in for duty.How Kinematic WorksNudge the upper crossbar with your thumb—while the rest of your fingers firmly grasp the handle—and the blade lunges to life and locks into place. Friggin' fantastic knife. Irresistible to flick open for no valid reason whatsoever. The clip is a little funky, but once you get used to it no worries. Worst part is knowing they make a kinematic axe now, and you're gonna have to ask yourself why you didn't buy that instead...

For those of us that are disabled, the CRKT Provoke, especially with the VEFF serrations, is capable of doing extreme damage to those that would harm us... Not a primary weapon, but rather, a weapon of near last resort... Quality of manufacture is CRKT's place in the provision of quality blades, for very reasonably prices. I've had lots of CRKT blades, and the Provoke with VEFF serrations is now amongst the favorites of all my blades. Over seventy-one years, my blade needs have evolved... The Provoke now meets the majority of those needs. It remains hidden until needed. It is swift, surprising, and will be deadly. What more can be said, when a blade is truly needed?
