Xtreme Heaters Boat Cabin RV Space Heater with Tip-Over Protection, White

Ok so I purchased one of these years ago on Amazon and have absolutely loved it. It's so lightweight but POWERFUL! I've used it in many different settings and different places. It's been my trusty sidekick. I love the automatic thermostat, it's simplicity, and safety protection features. The tip over protection is nice as well. Plus another level of safety if the heater gets too hot it has a fuse that will make it turn off. I haven't ever had issues with it so it hasn't had to do that but the extra piece of mind that it COULD do that if needed, is nice. Last winter (2023) I went to purchase another one of these heaters and saw that they had gone out of stock and had some pretty bad recent reviews :( I reached out the company because I really wanted this heater! They informed me that they had had a malfunctioning set of heaters where the cord was getting too hot. Once they found out, they shut the listing down. Unfortunately, a few people bought the heater before it was turned off. Those people (I've been told) have all received refunds. But, now the heaters are back and better than ever! I just got mine last week and its been performing excellently. I've been told that they now undergo additional testing before being sent to Amazon so no more hot cords and just nice hot air coming out where it's supposed to!! I love this heater!!

This has been an awesome heater so far. It's so small & so quiet that it doesn't even seem like it would be able to warm up the room but it does. I'm also impressed with the design for stability and for safety purposes. But, my favorite thing is that you can put it up against walls and on carpet and not have to worry since it gets the air from the top. We have been using it in our small cabin that doesn't have any heat and it does the trick-- I'm excited to use it in our motorhome this fall.

It's small but mighty! It pulls approximately 1215w , however if your using a power source it's variable speed you can lower the watts! It has thermostat for auto shut off. It's quiet! Recommend it!

Takes in cold air on one side and sends it out warmed on the other. It has a wide stance so it's unlikely to tip over, and can heat with 700 or 1400 watts depending on the switch position. There's a twist knob for the thermostat setting, but it's not calibrated. The instructions say at the minimum setting it will come on just enough to keep the temperature above freezing, like about 40 degrees. I found that halfway gets about 55 degrees. It's low profile so you can place it under furniture (of a kind that couldn't catch fire of course). I've been running it in the cabin of my boat, under the dinette table so it's unlikely to be kicked when I go aboard in the off season to check that all is well. I don't see this as a substitute for winterizing the boat's water systems although it could probably be used like that if an owner thought he would use his boat occasionally in winter (or in climates where only occasional freezing temperatures happen). I see it more as a way to reduce the relative humidity below decks to keep mildew at bay.

Got this for our 19 ft camper. Works great. Have to find a happy medium to set the temp at.

There are plenty of heaters out there that are better built for the same or less money. If this is quiter it is not by much, and not much is a good description of the features on this as well. It pretty much has high, low and a thermostat and high and low does not even change the fan speed. In my opinion this is a 39.95 heater at best. Been using these for years but fell for the hype in the ad and ordered this one …. there is definitely nothing Xtreme about this heater other than the extremely overblown price for what you receive.

I purchased this product over a year ago with the intent of using it to keep my boat interior from freezing in the winter. Last year did not use it. This year, I opened it up and plugged it in to test prior to use. Fan spun for maybe one second. Froze up and it is not inoperable with a slight metallic burning smell. Buy something higher quality. This made in China crap is not worth it.

When the party on the dock moves from boat to boat (or boat to camper/garage), the heater and warmth can travel with you. VERY quiet, small, and does not get in the way- unobtrusive. Cord is long enough that it is not hard to place, even with limited outlets. Just like the Xtreme bilge heaters I have used in the past, this heater has safety features lacking on the cheaper heaters. Pay to Play, buy quality and it will perform AND last.
