I've installed well over 100 grommets in multiple kinds of materials. I was able to save an expensive outdoor banner that we've had for several years. The original grommets were pulling out of the material so I installed new ones all the way around the whole thing. When you take some of the bottom half of the grommets out the bag, you need to make sure you only have one. They tend to stick together and what seems like one might actually be 2 or 3 stuck together. I give them a little twist to flex and run my fingernail down the edge to separate them. Review: Great handy tool - Great tool. Life saver for replacing or installing grommets. I bought this in July 2021 to hang some shade cloth, and they are all rusted out already after 4 months (and very little rain). They are iron/magnetic, so they stick to the pliers, but definitely NOT STAINLESS STEEL. The Amazon description says the material is 'stainless steel', but that might only be the pliers. So if you don't want the grommets to rust out, you had better buy extra stainless steel grommets separately. **Q: Has anyone tried to punch out a hole (ie. on a belt) without using a grommet?** A: Yes, have not been successful. I need a different tool. **Q: The video says it can't be used for fabric. Is that true? Would it work for fleece?** A: Dear friend, It can't be used for fabric and fleece. If the material is too hard to punch, it can be pre-punch to try. **Q: can it do stainless grommets?** A: Yes. If the grommet is magnetic it will be easy. The heads of the tool will magnetically hold them in place. If it’s not magnetic it can still do it but it is harder to line everything up. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to use *by P***N on April 18, 2026* This grommet tool works very well. Life saver for replacing or installing grommets. Easy to use the tool for installation. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best of many grommet tools tried *by A***R on November 8, 2020* I tried a number of grommet inserting tools - most needing hammering and/or “futsy” cutting of holes in the fabric first. This is by far the easiest most successful grommet making tool tried - almost infallibly, and in one step. Secure grommets, placed where planned, and no hammering of cutting tubes for perfectly sized holes on some sturdy workbench surfaces first. Follow the directions, squeeze hard and you’re done. ## Frequently Bought Together - KING PIECES LACUISINE Grommet Tool Kit Handheld Hole Punch Pliers Portable Grommet Hand Press Machine Manual Puncher w/ 500pcs Silver Grommets of 3/8 Inch (10mm) - KING PIECES 500pcs Grommets 3/8 Inch (10mm) Washers and Grommets Kit for Grommet Tool, Banner & Posters Metal Grommets Eyelets for Fabric Clothes Leather Belt Punching --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/191547095-king-pieces-3-8-inches-10mm-grommet-tool-kit-500pcs](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/191547095-king-pieces-3-8-inches-10mm-grommet-tool-kit-500pcs) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
