ATLA Fan here
As a atla fan this was so amazing to read. I knocked it out in about less than an hour but it was so Intresting. The details were amazing and honestly if I could read it for the first time again I would. So many extras that come with it and I honestly love it so much

Amazing book with tons of extras
I became obsessed with the series, have ordered the comic books as well as the hardcover library editions and thought this book would be a great addition. The best part to me is the extras that are tucked away in the pages. There is the Appa missing flyer, a postcard from Ba Sing Se, the waterbending scroll, and much more! The art is fabulous and the pages breathe life back into the characters long after the show ended. It is a spectacular addition to any Last Airbender collection!

It is what it says it is.
I don't really understand the negative reviews. The description just above tells that this book is Aang telling about his adventures with his friends and (gasp!) those adventures we already know because we watched the show.I actually really liked this book, because I loved the little "mementos" it came with. As someone who watched the show and is a huge fan, having physical things from the world of Avatar is awesome. There are silly things included, like a poster advertising The Ember Island Players telling of "The Boy In The Iceberg" (which was a great episode by the way). And there are neat things included like Katara's water scroll (not an actual scroll but a flat image of the water bending techniques that were on it). While I would say that the price tag of ~$25 is a bit much, I did only pay $12 thanks to Amazon's lowest price guarantee on preorders so I think it was well worth it.So in summation, the book is nothing new about the world but the neat posters and other little keepsakes of Aang's is almost heartwarming. If you like Avatar a lot and think physical items from the world would be neat to have, then I'd recommend the book. If you're hoping for something more like new information, this book doesn't really include that so this book probably isn't for you.If you're really concerned about how art quality isn't up to your standards, then you're probably one of those people who also thinks Pokémon get way less creative as the generations go on (because Magnemite is totally unique). --P.S. that is a joke.

My 8-yr-old LOVES this book
We have been struggling to find reading material that my daughter is excited about enough that she reads without us reading to her and without us making it a chore for her to do.She is a big avatar fan, and quickly began devouring this book, eager to expand her knowledge of the avatar universe. She was especially excited about finding the waterbending scroll.

Kids love it
Amazing material, great presentation, so good to be a gift for your children, considering the message from Aang to Kensin

Unambitious, but well presented.
This book is a mixed bag. If you're a fan of the series, you'll get a nice summary of the series with some new art, but it's by no means essential. For something published by a company called "Insight Editions", you won't really gain any new insight into the world of Avatar. If you want new stories set between the original cartoon and the adventures of Korra, go buy the The Promise, The Search, The Rift and A Tale of Smoke And Shadow comic adventures first. But, for what it is, it's well put together and nicely presented. You get nice handouts with it like a copy of the waterbending scroll from the episode of the same name, a postcard from Ba Sing Se, and more. So this book is recommended, but if you're a fan of the series, this shouldn't be your first priority.

Wonderful book for Avatar fans!
Wonderful book for all fans of Avatar! As some others have said the art in some of it looks really... off. Like it was poorly traced. Then it clashes with the art from the artbook that looks very finished and polished. I don't know if the art was intended that way or not, but it was a bit disappointing to see, especially when the Legacy of the Fire Nation book's art outdoes this ones by a long shot. But still, I greatly enjoyed it and the little inserts added into it.I also assumed I was getting it in paperback like it says, but was very surprised to have it arrive in hardback!Definitely recommend it for any Avatar fan!
