These work great for the outside animals. I also added a thin coat of petroleum jelly under the rim of the bowls for double protection. The ants are no longer getting into the food of the bowl.

Just purchased another pair of these bowls. Using a total of six bowls to feed 3 cats.They have stayed in like new condition. Easy to clean. I soak them to loosen any leftover crusty bits.One minor observation, figure out how to stand them on edge in the dish drying rack. Otherwise, water doesn't drain out of bowls. Great product.

These bowls are great for keeping ants out as long as the sides are not touching anything. A bit pricey for what they are. Kinda flimsy and small. I wish they made a 6-8 cup version for larger dogs.

I bought these due to description saying anti ant. Ants had no problem climbing over the sides to get to the food. I can tell you - they are not anti ant! I put out dry kibble in these last night after receiving them. Full of ants this morning. Will need to look for a better solution.

Don’t ask me how and why this works but it does. Had a major problem with ants getting in my cats food. Moats are disgusting and not effective. Nothing has worked until this. My cat and I are so happy. I highly recommend.

Although these are a decent size for cats, they do not keep the ants out. The ants still had no problem climbing the ridge that was meant to keep the ants away. I will continue to use these bowls but still have to use saucers of water underneath to keep the ants away.

Received these yesterday, cleaned them and put fresh food in them. Checked this morning and both were full of ants having breakfast. Back to the drawing board.PS: Both bowls are stainless and great quality. I put some water on a dinner plate and set the bowls on the plate. Works like a charm now.

We have two half-grown kittens living under our front porch. Their food would get completely full of ants, and they wouldn't eat it, even after we sifted the ants out. The food was contaminated and probably smelled/tasted bad to the cats. Kitten food is expensive, and I was tired of wasting it.These bowls seem to be doing the trick!! On a couple of mornings, I've found ants swarming all around the bowls on the ground, but zero ants up in the bowl itself. No food has been wasted since we started using the bowls. I'm thrilled. Such a simple solution, with no poisons, powders, gels, or water as found in other ant-repelling bowl designs. Clean stainless steel, and gravity. Genius! I'm very satisfied and would happily order again.
