WFCO WF-9835 35 DC Amp Deck Mount Converter, Gray, 35 Amp

The fan on the previous was not discernable. This unit makes a considerable amount of noise; wondering if it will last. Quite seriously, it makes about as much noise as the whisper inverter generator stationed thirty feet from the camper.

I bought this unit to replace my power converter in my camper. I wanted one that would not overcharge my deep-cycle battery, which I would have to remove every time the camper sat at home. If I left the battery in, the old unit would overcharge the battery and ruin it. This converter charges the battery like an alternator in a car. It initially has a higher voltage output when the battery needs a charge, then the voltage tapers off to about 12.6 volts to maintain it (I measured it both times).

I installed the converter and it was working just fine. Went to check the motorhome around 3 to 4 weeks later and was still working. Went to do some things in the motorhome over Thanksgiving weekend and discovered that the inverter wasn't charging anymore. Checked the incoming voltage and it was normal, however when I checked the out going voltage and got 0 volts. I also looked at the fuse and it looks good. Because the converter failed I'm giving it 1 star. If it work its a good value and is easy to instal.

Works just fine for my travel trailer. A little smaller than the original so had to relocate two screws. Easy hookup and installation. I have been on two 2-week trips since and keeps batteries chargered and all else working!

This is a solid, reliable converter for smaller RV's. I purchased the 35 amp model and its adequate for the DC power requirements of our 20 ft 5th wheel camper.I've installed this same converter before in other campers with good results so I'm a repeat customer...

Works as described. I hooked it up and when I turned on the lights, the fan increased in speed. I came out to the RV the next morning and the fan was off (battery was charged). It was putting out 12.5 volts. I'm happy as long as it last.

We weren't getting any battery charging with old model (blew up). This one has worked great and charges our batteries to be where we need them. Very happy with!!!

This is a great product and does exactly what it says provides DC voltage for charging as well as running your internal lights or whatever else you need from a 12 V source.
