Great fitbit
Love the charge 4. Does everything that i need it to do. To date i have had 4 charge 4s so far. I am rough on them ( farm life with horses)and they usually last a couple of years to 3+ years. But the last 2 that i got didn't last cause the connector where the bands attach broke off. I tried to glue them but didn't work. Wish bands were interchangeable with a charge 5 though, so wouldn't have to buy a whole new set of bands if upgrade to a newer model.

After 3 months, really useful to self improvement
Charge 4 is my first health watch. I've been using for 3 months with goals of improving sleep habits and getting inspired to exercise. The device has pushed me to get out of the chair regularly, drink water more often, and otherwise track exercise events. The data collected demonstrates just how much I've changed my approach to my health. I check with the app several times a day. This week, the device had a hiccup. It needed a reboot and after that, it stopped tracking floors (which I recently switched to as my favorite daily counter). Today is Dec 26, so I wasn't sure about support availability. Yet online Chat was available. Support agent named Asia was helpful and friendly. I needed a second round, and with a call, I quickly got an agent. (Wish I remembered his name. He was excellent.) He determined the watch needed a warranty replacement. Cool. I'm very satisfied with the support process. NOTE: I am a Premium subscriber, and I believe it plays a role in support.

Overall excellence, but not perfect
I primarily use the following features: - Sleep tracking - Step counting - Tracking my Jogging (GPS/route tracking, time, Heart Rate, etc) For the first two, it's all aces. Quite happy, though I don't always understand why it sometimes gets the more verbose sleep logging and others it doesn't. Step tracking is fine, though I mainly like the percentage circle (not micro-managing my steps). The last one is why it loses some stars. I don't like having to deal with touch screen when I'm sweaty, it's unreliable. But the biggest irritation is that about 75% of the time, it won't connect to GPS and therefore doesn't accurately measure my route or distance and therefore doesn't have correct results. It's infuriating because I do the same route each time and sometimes it does, most times not, and I have no explanation why. Other thoughts: - Battery life is fine, no complaints - The stock band is awful, I couldn't find a comfortable notch, but replaced with a stretchy one with variable sizes and it's sooo much better. But the GPS issue is honestly one of the biggest reasons I didn't jump for the Charge 5, since my understanding is that the guts aren't much different. Your mileage may vary (if your GPS connects or not, hah).

I loved it until it BROKE after 6 months (UPDATE!)
First of all, the color was listed as Rosewood, which I took to be a red-brown , but is actually dark purple (eggplant). Fine, I wanted to use it right away, so I kept it. The bigger issue, is that I’ve only had it for 6 months and it’s broken already! I was walking and suddenly it fell off. I picked it up and discovered that the part of the fit bit that goes inside one end of the band had cracked in half. To make matters worse, when it hit the ground, the part that had cracked off inside the band was dislodged and I couldn’t find it in the dark. For over $120, I expect something to last longer than 6 months. UPDATE (5/27/22) I used my Fitbit app to contact customer service and explained my problem. The representative asked me to send a photo and within a few minutes was told I would be sent a new device! It was a very simple process and the rep was very courteous. It’s nice to know that there are still companies that stand behind their products!

In process to get a matching replacement
My FitBit Charge 2 ¨died¨ last month. It had made me happy in every way for the four years it lasted. Great product which has kept me and my doctors very happy and up to date on my fitness! Decided to purchase the newest Charge 4 , last month., on the 25 June. Two days later days later the battery completely emptied out. Checked all the instructions, updates, stats and reset options, but no real reason. FYI- battery should last about 4 days, as I do not use any peripheral apps or gadgets. Since that time the battery has been zapped three times after 24 hours. last week Called Customer service, and the (very Professional, very empathetic) agent thoroughly checked all options and troubleshooting tricks, until he confirmed that the reset button was flawed. He sent me a return label immediately. I have returned the product, and am waiting for my new, FitBit Charge 4 replacement! Don't get me wrong! I AM A FITBIT fan! Hope that this replacement will function as excellently as my first one, for the next 4 years at least! Update OK ...This is 5 days after returning the product via USPS: No feed back or ack from FitBit about receiving it. I was informed that they will send me a new replacement only after they receive the flawed one. Crossing fingers... To be continued... Latest UPDATE: 02 Aug, 2020...Very frustrated and disappointed! This is continuation of an exchange process that apparently has gone awry. I did receive a reply six days after my previous comments, in which I was informed that "yes" the product tracking showed it was at the last stage before arriving at the FitBit return facility. To add to the confusion FitBit emailed me a USPS return label, but in their response to my query sent me a tracking link by FEDEX.. As hope ebbs on the replacement action , and the fact that I was depending on that FITBIT4 to monitor my daily pro health activities, today, after more than eight days of the stalled tracking, I have emailed FitBit the following: Hello, once again... Please advise what is happening to my return package, sent back via your direct USPS Return Label sent to me back on the 21 or 22 July... I am more than anxious at this point about my ever receiving the exchanged FitBit 4 that was agreed to and promised. Your Customer Service has the record of the report set up by that office after verifying extensively that this FitBit 4 product was flawed and had a defect in the reset button, etc. At this point I want to reconfirm that you have finally received the product in question, so you can send me a properly working one as soon as is feasible. If this is too complicated or problematic for you, I suggest the alternate solution refund my credit card for the purchased amount. Truly, I have never had such a delay and problems with any exchanges or returns with direct vendors, much less Amazon ones. Usually once the Postal service or courier reconfirms that they have processed the return label code, the vendor immediately initiates the mailing of the replacement product, or simply refunds the customer. I have reverified all delivery tracking this morning, like every morning since I sent the FitBit4 back, but since the 25 or 26 July the tracking information seems to stop at the last stage in California. I can send you a screen shot if you have no way of seeing the information I just wrote about. I am kindly requesting that you respond with a solution ASAP: Thank you. It is 10:59 am CST 02 Aug, 2020

I love this watch so much I am gluing the bands on to avoid replacing the watch itself
Purchased in April of 2021. Great for fitness tracking, sleep, etc. Better than more expensive Fitbits. In July of 2022, the connection to the band broke off. Not the band, I've gone through a number of bands, but the connector that goes from band to watch. Researched replacing watch. Decided best option was super glue band to connector. Now October 2022, band connector to watch itself has broken...researching replacements and still not to keep on any of the available upgrades, so I've now super glued two parts together. This is probably the last thing I can glue before watch definitely needs replacement. I'll probably buy the charge 4 again, because none of the Fitbit newer models seem to have all the features that the charge 4 has...possibly I should just glue the face to my arm

After a couple of weeks now- I'm really happy.
replaced my fitbit 3 that was starting to have issues after 2 years. The good thing here is that this will use all of my bands for the 3, just not the charger. It is accurate as far as i can tell- it gives very similar numbers to my 3. It goes forever on a single charge and it does well with all of the functions. the gps is fairly accurate but- yes -turn it off when not needing it specifically. The only issue i have is that i have only been able to get it to sync on one of my windows devices a couple of times ( I have a pc and table, not phone with windows 10. with or without (plain bluetooth) the fitbit dongle). still it is a great device and I have been a slave to these things for more than 4 years. However it keeps me honest and in check. great device and your health is worth the cost. EDIT- it now will sync with my windows devices a bit better. as with most things these days, there is some magic sequence that you have to do things with to get the planets to align to get that first recognition. Just the right combination. I know I did remove and reinstall the app on one device and of course - no other device can be close. I also had to get rid of the fitbit dongle and use normal bluetooth and do windows pairing and repair. Just keep trying.

Very bad quality product
Please note that I am writing this review after using the product for 18 months I bought this in Nov 2020 just after the warranty was over in Nov 2021 the GPS started malfunctioning , so only way I could use GPS is by connecting it to phone Within few months the strap quality was so bad that it cracked I started using the larger strap within a few months that cracked as well . A month ago even before completing 18 months the battery started draining very badly . It would be full charged one moment and then it would be at 0 charge just 2 hours later. So much that now the whole Fitbit is unusable and has no value . I have to now buy a new a new fitness band 14k investment gone to 0 in 18 months

great watch!
I ended up changing the band to something more breathable, but overall a good watch. I find I have to connect/unpair it a lot from my iPhone 13 (not sure why) but takes a minute to reconnect. battery life seems good. lasts longer if you dont use gps but overall great purchase
