My boards are Isle brand, and their paddles suck! The clips fail quickly. I bought this as a replacement for my first broken paddle. It works perfectly. When my second Isle paddle broke, I bought a second one of these. I have read the negative reviews. I do not get how you didn't test your paddle to sink or float before going out. The standard for purchasing new gear is to try it prior to the day of the trip. I now own two of these and may even buy a third just to have the spare options for when we travel and rent boards.
