SUPER, durable keyboard that's just perfect
I LOVE this keyboard!! Good User Manual, easy pairing. Perfect key size, spacing, depth of travel. Very quiet function lets me type notes while on calls. Quick response after sleep mode. This is the second one I've purchased. First one was 4.5 yrs old & going strong, but I got it too wet with disinfectant wipes. I use this keyboard cover, which is a near-perfect fit (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075K5TXCL). Bought "Used-Mint" from Arteck and it was perfect condition.

Good keyboard
****I am updating my review. The unit I was sent had problems and it eventually became unusable. After claiming the warranty I was quickly shipped a replacement product. This keyboard works as advertised. The form factor is nice, it doesn't feel cheap, it is comfortable and pleasant to use. I love the brushed steel backing. The company ARTECK was very responsive and excelled in taking care of their product for me. I would recommend this keyboard and this company! ____________________________________ Started off strong. But after a week or two it became almost impossible to use. The problems began with a long delay between typing a key and the PC registering it. This problem evolved to a keystroke getting stuck and making a long line. For example trying to go to amazon.com I would type in amazon.com but the keyboard will glitch out and keys will stick. Oddly enough some times the keyboard works great! Right now writing this review it is working as advertised with no delay or stuck keys. But this only happens about 40% of the time. Other times it requires patience for each keystroke or aggravation trying to make it register one stroke per key. Otherwise, I love the size and form factor of the keyboard. It has excellent battery life and is easy to connect to a PC using bluetooth.

Great while it lasted....
My Arteck HB086 bluetooth keyboard has been a terrific tool. I have used it with my iPad 4 Mini nearly every day for nearly three years. I would not hesitate to buy this again. The major drawback is that some keys stopped working after about one year of regular use (and no abuse or mistreatment). I was able to work around this issue, a nonfunctional "up arrow" key. However, now, nearly two years after the first malfunction, five additional keys spontaneously stopped working. What I now have is a keyboard that does not allow me to write properly. The first key to die was the up arrow. Shortly after that, the "Enter" key died. On the iPad, I was easily able to work around these issues and continued using the keyboard. No problem. Recently, however, the Q, W, R, T and Y keys conked out and do not respond at all. (The E key continues to works, but not the keys to its left and right). I considered trying to repair the keys myself, but this keyboard seems to be glued or fused closed, so that it is difficult to crack open. It is not really made to be repaired, which is a shame. Frankly, this has been one of my favorite keyboards in recent years. I found it a pleasure to us this device, which connected to my iPad from the get-go and never presented any problems until the keys stopped working. It is a full-sized keyboard, about the same size as the one on myMacBook Pro 14" (early 2015 model). The feel and responsiveness of the keys was perfect for my touch typing. The keyboard is relatively light and compact, and travels easily. The integrated battery lasts for *weeks* of relatively heavy daily usage on a single charge (via a micro USB port along the side, near the delete key). With light daily usage, the battery lasts for months. It recharges rapidly (about 1-2 hours after weeks of use). I recommend this keyboard. I just wish that mine had lasted longer. Unfortunately, I am traveling and can't get a second Arteck keyboard delivered to my current location, so I'm buying a different brand and model to replace it. (Please note: I did not spill water or any other drink on this keyboard. Nor did I drop it. The keys stopped functioning while I was in the process of typing gently.)

Solid Build and Performance, but Key Travel and Micro-USB Charging Need Improvement
I purchased this Arteck external keyboard for use with my Ubuntu laptop, and overall, I’m quite satisfied with it. Build Quality The build quality of the keyboard is excellent. The materials feel premium to the touch, giving it a sturdy and durable feel. Initial Pairing Experience When I first tried to pair the keyboard with my Ubuntu laptop, the process was a bit frustrating. Initially, the laptop did not recognize the keyboard as a Bluetooth device, even though my mobile phone and other devices detected it without any issues. After disabling and re-enabling Bluetooth on my laptop, the keyboard finally appeared in the list of available devices, and I was able to pair it successfully. Since completing the pairing process, I have not experienced any connection problems. Room for Improvement While I’m generally happy with the keyboard, there are two areas where it could be improved: 1. Key Travel The key travel is longer than my previous external keyboard. While this is a matter of personal preference, I prefer shorter key travel for a faster and more responsive typing experience. If you specifically want a keyboard with short key travel, this may not be the right choice for you. 2. Charging Port The keyboard charges via a micro-USB port. In an era where most devices are transitioning to USB-C, I wish this keyboard used USB-C for charging. It would have been more convenient to charge all my devices with a single cable instead of needing to carry a separate micro-USB cable. Despite these minor drawbacks, I believe the Arteck keyboard is a solid choice for those looking for a well-built external keyboard.

Solid 10' keyboard.
Very solid keyboard, and the keys are big enough for my gigantic fingers.

Bad Fn + Esc default design. No Fn Lock. Almost gave up on this keyboard.
I bought 2 of these keyboards for my kids to use with Windows. They are young and have smaller hands so a smaller keyboard benefits them. The very very big design flaw about this keyboard is THE ESC KEY DEFAULTS TO A "HOME" FEATURE THAT LAUNCHES A NEW BROWSER WINDOW. THERE IS NO FN LOCK TO CHANGE THAT BEHAVIOR. So to actually use the normal Esc key, you have to press Fn+Esc. The Esc key is an integral part of many applications and games. It is burned into muscle memory for many things. Imagine trying to hit Esc to get out of a menu or command mode in your app and it is launches a new browser window instead. Extremely annoying. If your computer's BIOS has a Fn Lock function, you can work around this problem in BIOS. But not all BIOS have this ability. Mine did NOT. Windows OS also does NOT have an Fn Lock setting. So I almost returned the 2 keyboards... ...Until I found a free app call PowerToys in Windows to re-map any key on the keyboard. So I remapped the Esc key to actually function as an Esc key by default. This als means the F1-F12 keys are also mapped to advanced function like "Search", "Play/Pause", "Volume Up/Down", etc by default. This is also very annoying without a Fn Lock. Yes, you can use PowerToys (or a similar app) to remap all those keys but we shouldn't have to do that. If they fixed the Fn Lock problem, this would be a 5 star perfect keyboard in this size and price range. The keys are fantastic to type on. The keyboard is thin, light, and sturdy. Bluetooth works well, charging is good, and battery life is good. I was even impressed with the manual that came with the keyboard. It's in English and Japanese. And there were no glaring translation problems like other manuals that looked they they were cranked through Google Translate without a native speaker to review the text. So my first impressions of this keyboard and company was very good... until the Fn+Esc problem. It's a major oversight.

Solid and a good value for the cost
Pros: lightweight, even with the steel bottom plate; the steel plate has a very nice feel to it, and even though the rest is still plastic, there's little-to-no flex thanks to the reinforcement. Types fairly well, easy to sync with multiple devices, has a built-in switching option for iOS / Android / Windows layouts. For the price ($25 USD at my purchase), you get a nice solid piece of tech. Cons: You still get what you pay for here, and the portability comes with its tradeoffs: keys are a bit small and don't have a lot of travel, which can make them a bit sensitive as well. When using it with my iPad there's also an occasional glitch where it'll act as though the backspace key is held down for a second or two too long, though oddly this seems to only happen on my iPad; I've tried it with my Android phone as well and couldn't replicate the issue. It's a fairly rare occurrence though. My first purchase worked fine for me for about 8 months, before it started acting up; backspace key was getting funky, the spacebar would frequently either not register or register twice, and the left shift key was often not registering either. Contacting Arteck support was pretty painless, they gave me some troubleshooting tips and when those didn't work, they just sent out a replacement no-questions-asked, no need to even send the broken one back and it arrived in only a few days. For how much I spent on it, I can't complain, and I really like the metal baseplate giving it such a nice feel and a more unique look as well. The quick and simple support was a surprising bonus as well, a 2-year warranty on a $20~ product is just extra-nice to have.

Great Keyboard & Helpful Customer Service
I got this keyboard to replace my defective laptop keyboard and it is a great replacement. It is small enough to fit into my bag along with my laptop but not too small that it is uncomfortable to type on. I had no issue connecting it to my windows 10 laptop via bluetooth and all the commands work as they should. The keys are springy so the there are will be a click when you press them, I personally find it very satisfying. I've had this keyboard for 4 months and I love it! A very good purchase with a good price. I highly recommend this product if you need a keyboard. I recently damaged the keyboard and a few keys popped right off. I emailed them and they got back to me right away. The customer service was very accommodating and offered a replacement keyboard which didn't require me to send anything back or do anything. Truly a life saver!! PROS: - Portable, slim build - Long battery life, I've charged it once since purchase - Keys are comfortable and springy - Good travel for fast typing - Rubber stoppers keep the keyboard in place, type as hard as you want its not going anywhere - Feels sturdy with the metal backing, won't get crushed in my bag PERSONAL CONS: - Function keys may or may not need the Fn key to work, I don't know what is triggering the feature to switch between needed it or not. Doesn't really impact the functionality of the keyboard, it's just annoying. - The home/esc key defaults to the Home function and will open a new browser window instead of the escape function. When the function keys work without the Fn the home button is active. When the function keys need the Fn then the Esc is active. Again, annoying but nothing serious. - Some times the light just flashes green repeatedly and I don't know what it stands for. Nothing I do other than turning the keyboard off and reconnecting it will make it stop.

Not the product in the picture
Did not receive anything that remotely looked like the product in the picture. The package received was scratched and torn and the keyboard was dirty with stains and scratches all over it.

UK keyboard configured for US ??
When connected to my Android tablet, the HB086 was configured by default to US layout (the £ key produced #). I wasted some some time, finding out that the configuration needs to be changed in Android Settings (Language & Input). Then it worked properly as a UK keyboard. This isn't mentioned in the instructions. Otherwise, it is an excellent keyboard with a good touch and a solid feel. It has handy keys and shortcuts for cutting, copying and pasting, which are otherwise fiddly in Android apps, There are several other function keys, one of which calls up Google search. Unlike other reviewers, I found the Escape key works OK (in Android). However the virtual keyboard or language switching keys did not work. The former would have been handy for flipping to an on-screen keypad to add foreign accents. Still, if you need to do this, you can use the keyboard icon at the bottom right of the screen to display a mini onscreen keypad, while you are still still using the physical keyboard. Pairing is quick and easy, without the need for a password, and unlike my previous £10 bluetooth keyboard, it does not go to sleep for an annoying 1/2 second after a pause in typing. It has a built-in rechargeable battery which charges up quickly with lights to show progress, but the instructions are unhelpful about replacing the battery: They only say that prising the case open "destroys separate keyboard battery from circuit board". Still that may not be a problem for some years. The Arteck costs 80 per cent more than the cheapest on the market, but so far it seems well worth the extra.

Good Design, Easy to Use, High Quality Build...
The overall design, materials and quality is top tier. And although this is a smaller type keyboard, it feels like a full size keyboard, no crowding, so I can type at speed instead of thumb typing on my iPhone screen. My only critique would be it doesn't show on my iPhone the battery strength/level like other blue tooth devices, like head phones and ear peaces. Having said that the product does have a lot of battery life per charge. I do recommend this product and would buy this again.

Great keyboards, not able to obtain tax invoice
The keyboards are great, good value, sturdy, easy to use etc. I purchased 19 on behalf of my workplace and the company were unable to provide a GST invoice for these products - when I asked for one, they supplied with me with an invoice with the wrong amount, shipping included (which was free) and only for 1 or 2 keyboards. When I tried again, I got the same response and eventually was told there was no invoice. No tax invoice came with the goods either. They also arrived 4 days late meaning they weren't able to be processed in the correct financial year.
