Does the 4" hole saw fit a 4" pvc Sch 40 pipe?

PVC is usually measured by inside diameter and actual outside diameter can vary by manufacturer. Only way to know for certain is to measure the physical size of your pipe. Our core bits are measured by outside diameter of the barrel. We also sell a 4.5" Wet bit and 5" Wet bit separately. See our separate listings for those sizes.

Does it need a water pump ?

It is designed for wet or dry type core drilling. The included water adapter fits a standard garden hose spigot. No water pumps or water reservoirs are included.
