Fits exactly like stock

For like a charm

I found the left pipe a little long for my type 1 but better that than too short. I chopped off about an inch and it now fits the intake boot and minifold like a glove (YMMV). The right side was fine. The heat risers come detatched with the kit and also need to be cut to length.They are a BEAR to install which is good since you need the tight seal. Still, for all the wrenching, it's better than my old cracked manifold.

The hardware quality of the product is good, no complaints there. The problem is with fit. If you don't have the skills to cut and bend tubing you will have a problem. The fuel delivery tubes (big ones) are long and will need to be cut to fit standard dual port manifolds. This is not overly complicated. The complications come with the heat riser tubes which (in the kit I received anyway) are not only too long but are not bent to mate with the outlets on the exhaust system. I solved this by heating the tubes and bending them to the right position. Once installed it's a great setup. Just be prepared to do some extra circular work to get there.

Fit perfectly, easy install, I'm very pleased.

I don't mind the fact that you have to cut the tube's to fit and do a little bending. The worst part on this is the way the neck bends that you mount the carburetor to, the turn in the neck is so sharp that the mounting holes for the carburetor studs are to close to the neck. It's almost impossible to tighten the nut. Horrible design
