Lovely cook books for children easy to follow recipes

My first cook book is an absolute must, for the kitchen. The illustrations are fun and colourful, and the step by step recipes are very simple to follow. I brought for my daughter to share and bake together, but must admit I do use this without her. There are two more in the series and I have just ordered My first Baking book. I have tried many childrens cook books over the years, but this is my favourite.

Great set of recipes, easy to follow picture instructions. List of suggested equipment in the front. Would be a good introduction to cooking for any 4-9yr old. Not 'dumbed down' well worded and simple to follow. Recipes adult and child friendly.

My 4 year old granddaughter liked the book we now need to some baking together!

Love this cookbook and its funky format everything is well laid out and easy to follow and a joy to make. In essence its what every kids cookbook should be. Plus the food is healthy but not preachy your not being guilt tripped if your toddler has a taste for quavers! Instead you are given some family orientated alternatives that most kids will enjoy without having to source a massive list of ingredients or berate yourself if they don't get their five a day because these recipes are inclusive in the best sense clever twists on familar classics that your children already know and love. My kids still haven't worked out that their favourite chocolate brownie has sweet potatoe in it! Long may this continue i say! Great stuff.

My little one loves this book, good recepies and easy to folow

This book is wonderful. My two sons absolutely love the cook book and open it up to see what they can cook next. My five year old can easily follow the pictures and is starting to read the words too. The illustrations are beautiful and easy to follow. I love how many of the recipe have a slight twist to them and promote healthy eating to children. The snakey breadsticks and energy stars (pictured, my eldest loves love hearts) have been a particular hit. We don't eat much meat in our house so it's great to also see recipes including tofu and veggie options. My youngest has a dairy allergy and all the recipes so far have easily changed the dairy component to non dairy. Highly recommend. ❤️

Perfect birthday gift

This book is worth the hype and more. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. I’ve bought cooking/ baking books for my daughter (now 10) in the past without much luck.. they get shoved away. She made several things from this book already.. all by herself. Including buns! She kneaded the dough and let it rise., decorated as instructed to make adorable animal faces, very successfully! The pictures are helpful, adorable and fun. Plus who doesn’t love David Atherton. I can’t say enough good things about this book, it’s delightful! Love love love it :) !

Book good. No problem. However you would change my delivery address after a considerable time on the phone and also sent and charged me for 2 copies instead of one. I didn’t try any more as I was exhausted. David Lyall.

It’s a lovely book. Good recipes. All one would want in a first cookbook. So sad to return it. My fault: didn’t notice that the rave reviews were mostly from the UK. The little ones I was buying for are young Americans and haven’t had the metric conversion lessons yet! Nor do their parents keep a scale in the kitchen. I wish all recipes were written in weighed measurements. It’s so superior. Just hasn’t caught on here. Maybe David can do an American version at some point.
