NuvitaKnife Sharpener 3 Stage Knife Sharpening Diamond System

I've researched sharpeners on several occasions and finally settled on this one. If used as instructed, it works! And without a bunch of messing about. If you mix with another sharpening system, it will not work. The angles are set and critical to the process. That being said, it won't replace a Japanese water stone which is what I use for my "special" knives for sushi, sashimi etc. But for daily prep....I give this one good marks.

This Knife Sharpener by NuVita is the best we've owned. Last year we purchased this knife sharpener at a fancy kitchen store and it is nothing compared to this one. I love that this has 3 stages to sharpen your knife and is the reason why your knife comes out cleaner, sharper and more precise compared to if you sharpened it some other way. It's design is genius and very professional. The handle which is something our previous knife sharpener didn't have, made the process so easy and safe to handle and use. We enjoyed using it that we sharpened all of our knives that time. This is a great product and we are really impressed by it's quality, design and capability. It is a great tool to have in the kitchen and if you give it as a gift they will surely love it too.

It serves the purpose. You get what you paid for. Next time I will get the best available.. Does not play well with serrated knifes!. .Trashed 4 pair of scissors!

This sharpener worked for me on a few knifes, but on many it didnt work so well. It also takes a LOT more strokes then 3 per slot. I guess you get what you pay for hehe.

Don't think it made the knifes much sharper...I guess you get what you pay for.

Absolutly great sharpener. It feels great in the hand and actually works really well. I bought this for my new knives (which I might add are also fantastic) and this does the job perfectly, The diamond first stage is great for those older dull edge knives but once you have an edge back id suggest you probably only need to use stage 2 and 3. Perfect item.

The has a 3 stage sharpening system (marked on the tool as 1,2 &3). I've used it several times, but have not found my knives to be particularly improved. I would suggest that you get a traditional long stemmed sharpener, but this is a good starter system

I used this on my Sabatier knife and it ended up pitting the edge, despite carefully following instructions. It's going in the bin.

Makes blunt knives sharp, just give the knives a little wipe after as some fillings are produced in the sharpening process

Is the best sharpener i have owned First i got the knife i like to use all the time set the sharpener on flat surface there are three slots numbered 1-31:pulled knife though 4-5 times 2:pulled knife though 3-4 times and then 3:pulled knife though 3 times and wow this knife is so sharp have had to tell teenagers not to use as its so sharp really cuts a tomato thin recommend this sharpener

Have a professional set of kitchen knifes and made a compromise with this sharpener. The blades are feeling a bit curved after couple of times sharpening.

Simple and easy to use knife sharpener.Not too harsh on the blades.Highly recommended.
