BLACK+DECKER 20V MAX Cordless Drill Driver with Battery and Charger, LED Work Light (LDX220C)

You really need to add “for the price” to anything you say about modern black and decker. This is my favorite daily drill because it’s light, sturdy, and pretty solidly built “for the price”. I keep my old, beat up 20v black and decker single speed drill around for multi drill projects, and to loan out because I’ve already gotten ten good years of use out of it so it isn’t going to break my heart if it gets lost or broken (good frickin luck breaking that thing), I have a porter cable drill for when I need real power, but it’s really heavy. This 2 speed drill is just right for most things, and seems to do pretty good on battery life even with the puny lil’ 1.5a battery that comes with it. There are so many better drills if you can pay more and you don’t mind extra weight, but this one is good enough for most homeowners, and stands up to fairly light building/construction use. I’ve also found the grip to be pretty comfortable. For a sense of scale, I wear men’s large gloves in most brands. This drill might start to feel a little cramped for larger hands. Very good grip, even when sweaty.

This was once rated by Consumer Reports as a Best Buy. I use this mainly for household drilling and screw driving. This light, handy tool is great at both tasks, displaying plenty of torque and being very superior to my current corded drill. It uses the same batteries as my hedge trimmer and my tire inflator. If this model is still available, I highly recommend it.

Must have toy if you like being handy at home. I used for multiple different things. Buy devolt drill bits and drill bit to screw converter with this. You can then use it on screws also. Comes with two speeds and rotates in both directions. Battery life is pretty good. Also has a small guiding light built in.

I've had this for 2 years now and it is a great drill/driver. I like that the 20 volt battery is interchangeable with all of the other Black and Decker tools. This has given me no problems at all. I've used it for typical home stuff and I also put together a workbench and built out some wall to redo the bathroom. It had just a little trouble driving the 3 inch screws into the stacked 2 x 4's but I simply piloted a hole with a small drill bit with the same unit and switched back to the philips screw head. I put up 18 screws in each 2x4 and there were 4 of them. My shoulder gave out before the drill/driver did. I didn't even need to change the battery after all that. I just used a 12 inch auger with this to dig 6 inch holes for bulbs. After 40 holes I started smelling something burning but it looks ok. I hope I didn't burn out anything. I am in talks with customer support to see if I did any damage.

This will be the third one of these I have owned. I say third as I just tried the warehouse deal and had to return it with a bad trigger. But, I ordered one new to replace my 6 year old LDX220. It still works, but a drop has the spindle bent a little so drilling in an exact spot is difficult. It has been exceptionally useful and available. It's powerful enough for anything within reason and the battery still lasts long enough to put together a whole10x12 arrow shed with 1000 screws. I like the two gear ranges, high for drilling and low for tapping holes. The very best feature is that I can pick it up even after a month and it still works. I expect the new one will last as long as I need a drill, if I don't drop it off a ladder. The old cordless drills were always dead when you needed it. But, the 20V Lithium LDX220 has been dependable. I charge the battery once in a while and that's enough. I have two betteries, but I've never had to swap in the middle of a job. It's worth a lot to have a drill that works when you need it.

Have a corded drill but this is so much more convenient. Used recently to hang blinds and install a ceiling light. Love the keyless chuck. The led light can be helpful to see the screw. Very light weight with a 1.5 ah 20 volt system battery. I have 5 batteries from 1.5 ah to 2.5 ah. They last as long enough as needed and easily swapped out. The black and decker 20 volt tools are reasonably priced for dyi female homeowner of 64 yrs old. I have the hedge trimmer, pole hedge trimmer, the drill, the sweeper, the weed whip, the dust buster, the 5.5 inch circular saw, the detail sander and the sawazal which was my very first battery operated tool. Very happy with the black and decker 20 volt tools!

Este taladro/destornillador cuenta con 2 velocidades, y un clutch de 11 posiciones. Trae una luz led que, si bien no es muy potente, es más que suficiente para iluminar el área de trabajo frente a la herramienta. Lo compré en una oferta del día con 48% de descuento (cerca de $1,100 MXN), así que estoy muy contento con lo que pagué y lo que obtuve. Unos días después de haberme llegado, lo utilicé en algunas jornadas para instalación de red en un edificio: perforar para colocar cajas de registro y canaletas, atornillar... no tuve ningun contratiempo, y estoy satisfecho con el poder del taladro y la duración de la batería. Lo recomiendo sin lugar a dudas.

Para empezar es de los pocos taladros/atornillador con pila de litio a precio bajo. He comprado 4, y todos aguantan increíblemente, puedo decir que igual al de una marca más cara o reconocida. Nunca me ha fallado. El tiempo de carga es rápida. La pila le dura bastante. Obvio si es mucho trabajo es mayor el desgaste de pila. Sin duda lo recomiendo. Resiste golpes y caídas menores.
