Half tablet, half computer
This is a tablet running on ChromeOS, not Android, so you have to consider that not all Android apps will run seamlessly yet. However, it's an interesting compliment to a ChromeBook, and if you want something a little more capable than a plain tablet, this might be a very good choice. One advantage is that ChromeOS is continuously updated by Google directly and doesn't wait for a whole new generational step before getting upgrades. The improvements are incremental, but are constantly adding to the functionality of the tablet. In terms of hardware, its very robust. On day three I dropped it screen down onto a full cup of tea. Lots of crashing and splashing, but with a quick wipe over, there wasn't a mark on it. Being aimed at schools, this tablet is pretty robust and has a soft touch skin to aid grip and absorb bumps. That seems to work pretty well according to my tea-test. The screen is excellent, bright and clear, though it seems that touching is better than tapping for consistent results.Battery life is excellent, and charge time is very quick indeed. It does get warm when charging though. I bought this as a multimeida device, to play stored videos (it takes a micro SD card), watch YouTube and listen to Audible books. For those functions it's just perfect. Being based on ChromeOS however, it has the added functinality of accessing G-Suite and operating like a computer in terms of word processing and spreadsheets etc.Overall it's an excellent all-rounder, and has the advantage that with those continuous updates, it's an appreciating asset rather than a depreciating one. The tablet that I bought today will be more functional next month as a result. Highly recommended.

Screen completely smashed under the weight of my thumb while I carried it!
If I could give this 0 stars I would, more for the customer service I received as the laptop clearly had a faulty screen, as I'm a 5ft tall woman and not strong enough to crush a glass screen while simply walking with it my hand. This item was fulfilled by Amazon. I chose to be a prime member and have the convenience of buying items fulfilled by Amazon because I'm disabled and previously if their has been a problem they have promptly sorted it. This was not the case this time. I contacted them and they gave me the number of Chromebook support, which was and overseas number and has cost me a fortune to ring. The support person said they could repair or I could have a replacement through Amazon as they fulfilled the order. I got back in touch with Amazon who refused to give me a replacement as they had none in stock and didn't know when they would be getting them back in. Hmm, they said they could repair it but it would take at least two weeks or refund me. Obviously I didn't want the repair as Chromebook support offered me that and I didn't know what caused the fault and whether it would happen again. I was offered a refund however, I got this item in the sale so I would not be able replace it like for like which is unacceptable to me. In the end after days of arguing and done very rude and helpful staff I managed to speak to a manager who gave me a refund for the amount a repair would apparently cost. So now I'm stuck with a broken tablet I needed for work as a self employed person and as I'm disabled and we are in lockdown I can't get it repaired and it's actually cost me do much money with the long overseas call and loss of earnings I've now had to buy a laptop on credit so I can run my business as my original laptop was not performing well enough to meet my needs, hence buying the tablet in the first place. Really put off Amazon, only kept my membership long enough to make sure this review is published so other people can see what a nightmare they are when you have an issue. Utterly gutted!

Front facing camera is basically non existing
I had very low expectations for front facing camera. but boy they surprised me. The picture noise it makes ... I haven't seen that from those first phones from early 2000... Otherwise very good device. Buy only if you NEVER turn the front camera on.

Would not buy another one - screen fault
We had used this product for about 6 months when the screen would go off and did not work from then on, we sent it to asus twice and both times it came back and happened again within a few days, it still doesnt work and asus doesnt seem to want to know, replies to emails with a 'standard' email which was not much use, ive now given up but would not buy another one.
