Do these adjust closer together ? Or will the nose piece be in my eye site?** A: I have a Pupillary Distance (PD) of 62. I'm a short (5' 5"), 28 year old male who has to buy glasses from the kids section. That being said, these clip ones fit my glasses well. The glasses that I wear daily have a lens width of 47mm and a height of 24mm. The lenses on these clip ons have a width of 49mm and a height of 32mm. The lenses are well sized for my glasses. I like that they are slightly larger than my regular glasses because they cover more area. However, my only complaint is that the bridge width is 20mm. My regular glasses have a bridge width of 16mm. This means that there is a small portion of my glasses that aren't covered by the lenses of these clip ons. If your PD is close to mine, you should be fine. If you don't know your PD you can measure it yourself using a ruler with millimeter marks or a set of calipers. Just measure the distance between your pupils (the black center of your eyes). I hope this helps! **Q: Can I use these didymium clip-ons and the #3 clip-ons simultaneously on prescription glasses for boro work?** A: I'm not sure about the #3 clip-ons, but I use these didymium clip-ons with my prescription glasses for boro. Only issue is if using high heat on colors that burn bright, not quite dark enough. Works great for most day-to-day torch work. **Q: Has anyone had issues with these scratching their rx lenses?** A: I've never had an issue and I was wearing them several hours a day - I did use them on my previous pair of glasses since they fit better, so they may have been already scratched a wee bit. **Q: How thick are the lenses, and how do they compare to didymium shade #5** A: Hi, these are about 1/8 inch thick. There is no didymium shade #5. You must be thinking of green shade, or ACE #5. Those are a green welding shade used for boro glass working in addition to the didymium. We carry a shade #3 that you can add to didymium. These didymium are good for soft glass work by themselves. They work wonderfully for torchwork and conveniently clip over my prescription glasses. They may not work for thick plastic frames but are great for the metal frames I have now. They make the glasses just a bit heavy, and my prescription glasses are a little older, so they're not staying in place well, so I am using one of those eyeglass retainers (like a Croakies brand or similar), and it works well. The issue is with my existing prescription glasses, and not likely to do with the didymium clip-on, except for the minimal added weight.
