Great Fun
If you've read the three previous editions you'll be glad to know the quality of writing and art stays the same. The story is fun but doesn't feel like it covers enough new ground, what I mean by this is that a large chunk of the story is told in flashback, this really builds the lore of the universe (something johns is particularly good at) but can feel a bit 'been there done that'.This volume is shorter than the previous three and you do sort of feel that, especially coming off the back of the Sinestro corps war, this tale feels a tad rushed. That being said, I still really enjoyed this book and the series as a whole. I really like where it's going and especially as I'm reading it all for the first time it feels really huge and impressive. Lots of foreshadowing and hinting at future events occurs in the latter parts of this book.Closer to a 3&1/2, it suffers from a bit of re-treading and feeling slightly rushed, but has really great art and a very fun story with loads of cool characters. I can't wait for book 5!
