Finally, an eyebrow pencil that makes thin fine hairlike lines that look natural! Glides on easily but stays put till I wash off. Shade is perfect too.

I normally use THE $2 e.l.f. Instant Lift Brow Pencil in the shade Deep Brown, so I wasn't sure how the Ultra Precise would compare regarding color or formula, but I wanted to give it a try. The Cool Brown shade in the Ultra Precise works well with my skintone & dark hair, although it is slightly lighter than what I'm used to using. The formula is a bit more "stiff" (not as creamy) compared to the Instant Lift, but it still goes on quite smoothly & does a good job of filling-in the very sparse areas if I use quick, short strokes as is recommended with this kind of product. It also covers the brow hairs that have turned white from aging, as well as fills-in the almost now non-existent tails nicely. I was very happy with the staying power, & the precision that the smaller diameter twist-up pencil provides was welcomed, although it does take a little longer for me to complete my brows due to the aforementioned sparseness. I have been surprised by how long the pencil lasts, but this may be due to the stiffer, more waxy formula. For someone with thicker brows with just a few gaps here & there, this might definitely be a more ideal product for them. I'm glad I tried it, as it is a very nice product & good value, but I will probably go back to my usual Instant Lift only because it is a bit quicker for my particular brow needs.

This brow pencil is fantastic for creating well-defined, natural-looking eyebrows. The pinpoint tip of this pencil is great for my thinner brows and for adding strokes that look more realistic. Before this I tried the pencil that's a little more blunt and although the formula appears to be the same, I felt like I was using a big crayon. This size also seems to go further or have more in the chamber, either way I can go a few months before repurchasing rather than monthly with the wider pencil. The formula is good especially for the price. Easy to apply and feathers nicely with the spoolie. Stays all day even in sweaty conditions BUT with the caveat that I can't wipe my face off near my brows lest they remove themselves. That said, for the price I'm impressed they aren't running down my face at the first hint of dewy perspiration. I work a heavy labor job and still get home with mostly perfect brows daily. If e.l.f. could come up with a more waterproof formula it would be my holy grail, but until then I can only give four stars.

LOVE!! This is my first time using the precise elf pencil. I usually use another elf eyebrow pencil that matches really good to my color. I accidentally shaved part of my eyebrow off and have tested out several pencils. Nothing worked until I found this one!!! draws on so natural great color matching highly recommend

I like the very fine point, which so far isn't crumbly and brittle like too many other brow pencils. Unfortunately, both the Cool Brown and the Neutral Brown are the wrong shades for my nearly-black brows; I'd call them both medium- to dark-brown, not as dark as I need, though I can make the Cool Brown work. (Neutral Brown is more reddish.) I'll just have to continue my search for exactly the right shade of near-black brow pencil. Unforch, black brow pencils make me look clownish. (Maybelline Tattoo Studio Deep Brown comes closest to near-black, but it doesn't have a lovely fine point like this does.)

I’ve used another e.l.f. brow pencil before and thought I was re-ordering it, this one is much thinner. When they say “micro slim,” they mean it. The tip is blunt rather than pointed, so it’s better for tiny, hair-like strokes than for quickly building a soft brow shadow. On me, the Taupe shade runs very light; it takes multiple passes to get consistent color, and creating a full, even fill is slower than with a standard pencil.
