When someone knocks down and breaks your mailbox the week before Christmas and you live in a cold climate, this is an excellent option. It wasn’t a problem to assemble, although I would have preferred a bit more verbiage with the illustrated instructions. But overall it was easy enough, with the most difficult part being hoisting the sand bags around. The day after I put it together we had 50 MPH wind gusts, and the mailbox wasn’t even shaking. It seems to be made of sturdy plastic and was a reasonable price. While I bought it to solve a problem in winter, I would recommend giving this a try in any season. It works great, looks good and no there’s no hassle with sinking a post in concrete.

I chose the extra large size mailbox because I receive a lot of packages and wanted my Mail person to be able to fit things in there. Boy was this thing large! It also is very easy to assemble, but please take your time doing so. The packaging was very good to protect it and the instructions were easy to follow. The whole thing looks large, including the base, but that’s because you have to put sand in it to keep it stable. Please follow the directions and how to fill it with sand because I did not, and it was more difficult than it had to be. I live in an area where the rock is very difficult to get through because there’s little soil and mostly rock, so when somebody backed over my older mailbox, there was no way I was going to dig another hole! This thing solve the problem and fit together so nicely. I like how large it is and how stable and functional it is. The door is magnetic and so far so good. It is working very well! I feel this is a modern take on your average mailbox. Only it’s much bigger! The plastic feels thick in my opinion and should be very durable. I would highly recommend this to anybody else who wants to replace a mailbox in a level area or in a place where they can make it level. Bonus is if you ever sell your house, you can take this with you and put an old one in for the other guy lol

We have the nicest looking mailbox on our street! We purchased the white one. This was very easy to put together. I'm a female in my 60's, who recently had shoulder surgery, so no more hole digging for me. I put this together by myself. The instructions could've been clearer but I just took my time. It holds 100 pounds of sand, so there's no worries that it might blow away in a storm, it's also very sturdy and well made. I've had several compliments and have been told it's the nicest looking mailbox on our street. I would recommend this product to anyone, especially if your health prevents you from digging holes. But even if you are able to dig a hole, why would you want to go to all that extra work and expense, when you don't have to. It's very reasonably priced. If you're thinking about getting this mailbox, but you're not sure about it, I say don't hesitate. One other thing, we live in a rural area on acreage. There are a lot of ugly mailboxes around here. I love how ours stands out from them. Also, if it was to get knocked over by a snow plow, I have no doubt we'll be able to just stand it back up again, unless the plow literally runs it over and crushes it, it's that sturdy!

My old mailbox wood post broke so I needed to replace it. I was able to buy this and put it together myself (I'm an old woman). I did have to buy 50 pounds of sand at a home store to put in the bottom. I live in the country and am not worried about this being stolen. If in town, you might want to bury the bottom so it doesn't appear like you could steal it. It took me about 2 hours to put it together and have it up, which I didn't think was bad. I don't have a drill so just used a phillips screw driver and pliers. Instructions were pretty good with lots of pictures. I love that this mailbox is much larger than the old one so holds small packages. I have gotten mail and small packages in it a bunch of times now and it is fine. Came with nice large numbers to stick on the side. This mailbox looks better than the one I had before, keeps my mail dry, holds small packages, is easy to open, door stays closed, so I'm happy with it. Hope this is helpful!

Needed a new mailbox. Didn’t want to dig a hole. So this one was the best option! Happy with this purchase!

This was a lifesaver when I got a new dog and the postman couldn’t go into my yard to deliver the mail. I did not want to dig or use cement as I am a single woman. The only problem I had was when I filled the sand in the base and had the base tipped on its side (according to directions), the base decided it was going to go flat, and I was launched into a cement curb. I have very bruised ribs. It would be best if one person held the product while a different person filled the sand into the base. It would not have happened if I had a second person there. Overall, I would definitely buy this thing again and just borrow a neighbor for the base filling. It looks very nice and function as well. Directions are very clear.
