This product works great for me and I love the fact that it's dishwasher safe. No matter how you scrub this style of spider strainer you can never quite get that little bit of oil out from between the wires. This usually makes it so the next time you fry the oil builds up on that spot again and again. Now that I can throw this in the dishwasher the high heat and water jets take care of that for me. I still give it a once over with a brush to get out the bigger chunks of things but the fine cleaning is done in my dishwasher. bought this a while ago and still love it. Great product.

I ordered this for draining foods from boiling water, oils, whatever. It is so useful for so many more functions. And friends see it and say “what IS that???”. So, add conversation piece to the list of assets.

I am so pleased with this. It is convenient, and I get to indulge a little, as it is pretty too, and I just plain like using it to scoop out my fritters from the hot oil, when frying. I've used it more than several times, now, and it makes frying easier.

I use it to remove Ravoli from the cooking pot. Very well made.

I've wanted one of these for years! We often make fried shrimp and tempura vegetables. This spider strainer makes it so much easier to remove items from the frying oil. I definitely won't be using tongs anymore! You can fit between 5-8 large shrimp in this strainer at a time (if you pile them up a little).

I bought this on a whim when I bought my carbon steel wok and have used it more than I thought I would! It’s a nice quality item.
