Ottomanson 2x7 Hallway Runner Rug – Kitchen Rugs with Rubber Backing

I ordered two to match the stair runners I bought 6 years ago, because my older dachshund was having trouble walking on the lamenent floors. They are great! They lay flat, stay put with no tape, and vacuum well. Also, I expect they will last a long time, as you can hardly tell the difference between the stair runners that are 6 years old and the new matching runners!

I was looking for carpet runners for high traffic areas to help keep the rest of my carpets looking clean. These rugs work great for that purpose. Rugs are thin, yes, but that is a feature so that they can be placed on existing carpet in front of doors and the door will not be blocked by the rug. In my house this works about 95% well. The rugs have a finishing edge, that edge is a tiny bit higher than the rest of the rug; once the door clears that little bit, we can easily push open the door without concern. We have this situation with one door, on another door we have no issue at all. Others customers have complained about rug falling apart in the washing machine. There is a simple fix for that: don't put them in the washing machine! These rugs were not designed to be washed that way, as explained in the product description on Amazon. If you have a strong need to be able to do that with a rug, then don't buy this one. These rugs should be wiped down with a wet cloth, as needed; for me, that is easy enough to do, and it occurs to me that I will save a lot of water by doing so. Other customers have complained about the rug moving. There is a thin rubber backing, which is both a pro and a con. It is a pro because it allows the rug to be put in a doorway without blocking the door, it is a con when the rug is used on a carpet because the rug will move a bit. In my house of two adults, the movement is not so noticeable. In a house of kids and/or animals, more movement would be expected. IMHO, if movement is a problem, it could be fixed by attaching more rubber gripping to the back of the mat in certain strategic places, such as the corners and a few points along the edge. I love the design of this rug and how it works with other furniture in the room. I can walk on it comfortably with bare feet. I originally thought I would take up these runners when guests come to visit, but increasingly I'm thinking that they are pretty enough that I might just keep them down because they add a bit to the style of the room. I think the price is pretty good for the value this rug provides to me. Overall, I am very happy to have found and purchased this rug.

I bought this runner for my kitchen and although I love the print, I've had 2nd thoughts after having it for a few days and have decided to purchase another print. I think it would be perfect anywhere else in the home, but just not the best for the kitchen only because it has a tendency of showing every little crumb and tiny thing that might land on it (I bought the dark brown leaf print). So you will constantly be vacuuming it and who wants to do that? (plus we are in a 2nd floor apartment so we don't want to drive our neighbors below us crazy). Another downside to the rug worth mentioning is that is it very thin, which might bother some people that will be standing on it for any length of time. So I think you would want to call it a mat, as opposed to a rug. Although I do not feel this is a reason to give a negative review as the thickness is stated in the description. So if you plan on standing on it a lot and are looking for something with more pile, than you would probably not be happy with this one, that's all. I was okay with that aspect though - I loved the print, the size, and the price! I just needed a different print for my kitchen. I should have went with my gut instinct before purchasing it as I thought I might have that issue with it. Aside from that, it's very pretty and I do recommend.

These rugs are gorgeous. The green with tan and brown colors are vivid and beautiful. It's a lightweight runner but doesn't move when I walk on it. I have a special needs labrador that can't walk in smooth floors so I require a lot of rugs in my home. The price was amazing for this size rug. I'm considering buying two more of the same because I doubt I'll find rugs this size and so pretty at this price anytime in the future. I have only used them for 2 days so I can't review them for durability but I'm happy with however long they last as long as they don't unravel when I vacuum then. (I've actually had that happen to rugs purchased elsewhere).

Love the colors, lightweight

This is the third one I have purchased over the year and it did not disappoint. (Nor have the others!) They are attractive and reasonably priced. The non-stick backing is adequate, although you can expect some movement on both hard and carpeted floors. They are easily spot-cleaned and seem to repel water and stains very well. DO NOT wash this rug in a washing machine, as it will damage the backing. Very pleased and would definitely recommend to others!

Color is pretty accurate, love the design on problem is it's crooked. If not for that, I'd give it 5 stars

I have 250lbs of dog divided between two, a Golden Doodle and Bernese Mtn, do. Both are long haired and one is a tremendous shedder. I also have a husband who doesn't know what wipe your feet means, even after 50 years of marriage. These rugs look great and still look like new after over a year of daily use. I don't like to do reviews right away because I won't recommend something I don't believe in. I have Ottoman treads on my stairs, and rugs including a large oval in my front hall, a 3x5 rectangle in the dressing area of my bedroom, at the back entrance, and a few other places. The dogs sleep on them, roll on them, push them out of their way sometimes. The rugs get vacuumed sometimes twice a day. I have a shark and so set it on the highest level so the vacuum doesn't pull the rug. I have washed them with resolve and spot clean them as necessary. No pulls, no bare spots no discoloration! Love them and would not hesitate to buy more and will.

A distanza di qualche mese di utilizzo, posso confermare che è un ottimo tappeto! Il colore tende a scaricare nei punti calpestati di più ma questo non rovina l’estetica generale. È resistente, facile da pulire e, soprattutto, saldo sul pavimento senza scivolare via. Qualità/prezzo imbattibile! Consiglio vivamente!

We own a greyhound, that hates slippery surface. These runners work great to keep her moving around the home. The only downside is they tend to slide a bit, and I wish they had a bit more stick to them. You could always buy floor adhesive to resolve this minor issue. Cleaning has been fairly easy, including accidents, but keep in mind they are not waterproof beyond a wet shoe. Color and pattern matched the description.
