Lumped Elements for RF and Microwave Circuits

This book is the latest addition to the list of many useful books that Inder Bahl has written.It is essentially a very comprehensive collection of papers related to lumped elements usage at microwave frequencies published in the scientific lietrature over the past few decades.The topics have been very logically grouped and the key results,formulae and diagrams have been highlighted.If you need to probe further the references are well-marked.I would strongly recommend this book if you are in the MMIC or RF design field.

高周波の設計って、最近は分布定数回路で設計する手法が一般的になってきましたがこの本は、集中定数回路で設計する方法について詳しく説明されています。例えば、315MHｚで動作する90度ハイブリットカップラーを設計する場合、この本では、市販のインダクター、コンデンサーの組み合わせで、それを実現してくれる設計方法を教えてくれます。余談ですが、一般的に集中定数回路で作った場合、回路面積を小さくできる利点があります。（しかし、狭帯域特性になることもありますが、これはトレードオフ関係で理解してください。）英語も理解しやすい表現で、とても読みやすかったです。この本を見て設計手法を学び、実際の製作・評価に関しては市川裕一先生の「高周波回路の設計と製作」を参考にしています。設計と製作評価の二刀流で戦ったほうがいいですね。
