Then he and associate buy and dismantle a Tesla car to ingeniously develop unique magnetic traction to board a rogue yacht. Mission was successful. Then, one of the newest fully computer controlled NUMA research ships was nearly destroyed by offshore computer hackers and left floundering at sea. A submersible was hacked and left to flounder. While the NUMA ship was powerlessly floundering in the southern sea, the ghost ship was discovered as a floating derelict some distance away. Some of the NUMA crew investigated the ghost ship which revealed an interesting history connected to the story. In the mean time, Kurt Pitt and associate invaded a secret underground tunnel connecting North and South Korea moving right on the heals of the computer hackers and thought-to-be-dead friend. Ultimately Kurt and associate invade a rich man’s compound in Madagascar, find the quarry and friend, and help the culprit be annihilated. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I returned the hardcover edition!!! *by K***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2014* Clive is a most masterful storyteller and any book he’s involved with is going to be an entertaining read. I really don’t need to add my praise to his exceptional wordsmithing skills. Every one of his books is always well crafted with a compelling plot.My son ordered the hardcover edition of “Ghost Ship” from Amazon as a birthing day gift for me. However, I haven’t read a printed on paper book since September 2010—I love the easy-on-the-eyes Kindle ebooks. I was amazed at how easy Amazon made it to return the gifted book and exchange it for an Amazon gift card credit. The entire process of return-for-credit was accomplished in just about three days. I rarely purchase ebooks priced greater than $9.99—I totally dislike the concept of “agency pricing” employed by the gigantic publishers—however, this was a gift so I paid $11.99 for the Kindle edition. It was regrettable that the publisher turned off the Amazon lending feature so I was unable to lend the ebook to my son.The “Ghost Ship” and Amazon’s customer service are indeed worthy of 5-stars, however, the publisher doesn’t even rate a single star due to their disrespect of folks who prefer to purchase ebooks at consumer-friendly prices and then have the ability to lend the ebook to a friend.Enjoy often… John ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good story *by G***N on Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2020* An entertaining read with enough twists and turns to keep the reader guessing at least a little nearly to the end. Not the best of Clive Cussler but, considering that terrific author's recent death (my condolences to the family), perhaps a precursor of what might be in the future for Graham Brown.
