Dried Green Bell Peppers, 2 oz.

I got hooked on the convenience and added flavor of dried bell peppers after I bought a red and green dried bell pepper blend at Penzeys Spices. I liked adding a little dash to sauces, guac, etc. When I ran out of Penzeys, I figured I could buy these and refill my little glass spice bottle. These were way cheaper per ounce than Penzeys charges, but as they say, "You get what you pay for." This green pepper only product didn't have that nice taste that the red and green blend had. Also, there are a bunch of seeds in this product, whereas the Penzeys were practically seed-free. They still are nice to have around though so in a pinch, these will do.

I use dried bell peppers in egg and casserole dishes. These are a bit different from the ones in the tin that I can’t find anymore (one of the name spice brands) but used to purchase at the supermarket, and in a way they look more appealing. I was glad to find these.

Looks, smells and tastes like sweet peppers, which is most certainly not always the case. I use these for seasons blends, and they work great for that. They’re a consistent size, without a lot of useless powder, and that’s important in order to get your money’s worth

I used to be able to find dried bell peppers fairly easily but in the last year or two they've been impossible. I found this website and these are as good as any I've ever had. I don't use bell pepper very frequently and often it is on the spur of the moment. This solves my problem without my having to go to the store. I only use dried bell pepper in things that I am cooking. I have no idea how they'd be if you were trying to use them in a salad or something where they weren't cooked.

Nearly powder. I would have liked larger flakes but the flavor was good.

I have not tried this product yet so I could not give 5 stars, but the shipping was fast and it looks like a nice package of Peppers. I like the idea of the smaller pkg's and not the big #10 cans , it's easier to take camping!

Use a tablespoon for chi chi style beef tacos and lasts about 2 months depending on how often I fix.

Considering the price of fresh bell peppers this paid for itself quickly. Gives good flavor, Since dried you use less than fresh for full flavor. No spoilage. Also, we can never find dried green pepper in stores anymore.
