Easy to assemble and does the job.
Itโs easy to use, slightly to moderately frustrating to get on your camera. It stays on but wobbles quite a bit if youโre actively switching camera from landscape to portrait. It did work great for what I needed it and I donโt regret having it in my camera bag. Works great in a pinch.

Canon 7D Compatible, not recommend.
This was used on a Canon 7D: I was very disappoint with the results. I tried my best to make the photos work for many shots from cosplayers inside a convention center. Light was ok but I had to use my 18-135 mm 3.5-5.6 lens for trying to get some wide shots, the device didn't diffuse enough and so most of the pictures looked really unprofessional. Cranking up the ISO did help, but noise in the pictures is really noticeable. Yes, I know this is supposed to be a cheap way to diffuse but it really didn't work. I was expecting that would've had worked for this type of event. Fortunately! I had on my possession a 50mm lens which worked very well on the low light. So yes, this wasn't worth my money. It might work outside on a really bright day... which then you wouldn't be using flash unless you had the right professional equipment and you know what are you doing. Overall, is not worth the money, it will diffuse by 5% and it will also BREAK EASILY! Even if you are an origami expert you will break this really easy.

Impressed
I am actually impressed with this product. It was only $10 shipped so I wasn't really expecting much from it but I have done some test shots on my child and there is clear difference on using this diffuser and not. I am a photographer and mainly work outdoors with natural light so I don't need this for much. Is it as good as a high dollar one, probably not but it does the job if your on a tight budget or just want to have it. I gave it three stars just because I know there is better out there and its big but can't beat the price and the fact that it does make a difference in skin tones from flash.

You can see the difference
So obviously this is not a replacement for an actual flash but this thing does work!I bought it hesitantly and decided to give it a go. For less than 10$ it can help you take some shots at a party or just counterbalance the slow lens you probably have (kit).Overall I give it 4 stars because for the price you can't find anything better but not 5 because it is a little bit awkward to put in place and could probably have a better design.

Good product but mix feelings...
This diffuser fit nicely on the T3i and the instructions were fairly straight forward. Seem to lose flash light quickly as you move back from subject, even when compensating with the flash exposure. It does its job effectively but it does make you wish you had a better flash and diffuser - so I saved up and upgraded. Definitely a good starter item for a newbie who wishes to cut the harshness of the built-in flash on close and midrange subjects.

Better than a horseshoe
The item is thin like some have stated but do you want something heavy pulling on the top of your pricey camera? I have found this diffuser more preferable than the horseshoe type. Those don't always allow the flash to go off for some reason. I have yet to manipulate the camera enough to stop this. I have not had any issues with this box type and that is great. I have not had any issue with the coating flaking as I have seen in othe reviews. I actually prefer this diffuser because I can fold it down to fit in my camera case unlike the horseshoe ones. For the price, this is a great option especially for the novice.

Kind of generic
Hi, I don't know if it's me or not but it seemed a little generic, I couldn't make it go on right so I will try again, it does block the flash good though but you just gotta get it to snap into place, I was trying it for the first time on a photoshoot so it wasn't that easy, I'll try it again at home to see if I can do it!

For the money, it works...
I read reviews on several diffusers before I decided to try this one. It works well. It's fairly simple to put on the camera. I'm using mine with a Canon XSi. I would recommend giving it a try. Just remember, it's not all about the diffuser, you have to set up your camera settings as well.

Diffuses the flash OK, but badly assembled
It stays on the camera, but the strap meant to hold it together was assembled wrong and can't be attached together. Usable, sort of.

Inexpensive flash diffuser that does the job. I like that it folds flat and doesn't take up a great deal of space in a camera bag like some other diffusers do.
