Fiskars 8" Original Orange-Handled Craft & Fabric Scissors, All Purpose

I'm a seamstress, and in my world, there is no greater sin than using sewing scissors to cut anything OTHER than fabric. Apparently, my son somehow never got that memo. After an incident involving my sewing scissors and a metal toy, I was left with a pair that looked like they'd been through a war. He insisted they still cut. 😒 The culprit has been reprimanded and the ruined scissors found their final resting place in the trash. 💀 Thank goodness for these new scissors! When they arrived, I immediately put them to work! They glide through fabric like it's butter. The precision is fantastic, and they feel comfortable and light enough to use for long periods. It's a true relief to have a pair that's sharp, reliable, and reserved for its one true purpose. These are an absolute lifesaver.

These are great. Very sharp and cuts garments and difficult tapes easily. Recommend these for everyday use.

Just the best general purpose scissors. Although designed for cutting fabric, I use them for everything else. Good size, very sharp full blade length, comfortable hand that easily maintains control for one time cuts no matter how long the cut.

This is the best all purpose scissors that everyone should keep in their kitchen junk drawer. I never look for a different scissors unless mine is missing. They are priced great, cut nearly everything you need and last forever. My problem with them is I have teenagers and I think that is tied to the fact my Fiskars scissors have an ability to grow legs, walk away never to be seen again. If you can fix this issue let me know. Until then when mine vanish I'll keep buying another one.

The Fiskars brand is my all time favorite brand of scissors. No matter what I may need to cut, it is almost always the brand I will intentionally seek out to use, even if another brand of scissors were sitting right in front of me just waiting to be used. I purchased this pair of Original Orange Handled Fiskar scissors to supplement my old pair of truly Original Orange Handled Fiskar scissors, since they were purchased back in the late 1960's for home economics and sewing classes, when those subjects were still required education for the girls alone, while the boys took shop. They have been used regularly since that time, and more recently have even substituted as box cutters and garden shears as well as household scissors. While Fiskars has designed other styles of scissors meant for different purposes, I went with the same style of scissors I had, as I wanted scissors that I knew would cut fabric without any problem. The old pair has a spot in the middle of the blade that has been damaged, so no longer perfectly cuts when I reach that spot. However, everywhere else on the blade is still sharp, the handle shape is comfortable, and the scissor is lightweight. The old pair still will slice right through paper, and you really do not even have to move the handle, but just push the blades against the paper to get a clean cut. These are great scissors, and really I think every household should own a pair of them if they don't already.

I purchased scissors from big box stores and office supply stores. These are by far the sharpest and best constructed pair of scissors that I have owned. They fit your hand perfectly. They are nit the cheapest, but they are fairly priced.

Not as sharp as I expected.

I've only recently gotten into sewing, and these work great. So far, I've used it to cut cotton-poly blend and felt. I've cut up to four layers at once. I had no problem, these are very sharp. Very worth it.

Delivery was super long but I knew that when I bought it. Scissors are what I expected them to be :)
