I bought this to use with my 12" Camp Chef cast iron skillet. I'm not sure why some people did not get a knob. I did take note that in the product description it does actually say that the knob is separate. However, mine came with the knob screwed on (upside down for packaging purposes). I just unscrewed it and installed it in the correct position. The cover fits perfectly inside the Camp Chef skillet. I like to cook my eggs sunny-side up, but I hate the raw film on the top. I use the cover and then pour a little water into the skillet allowing the trapped steam to cook the tops of the egg(s). I call them Overcast Eggs. The aluminum is light and I'm hoping I get many years of use. I would definitely buy another if needed.

The knob was in the inside of the lid. Yes, I can unscrew it and put it on the top of the lid where it belongs but I prefer to return it as is. Let them figure it out.

How about a less than 3 minute over easy egg that you don't have to flip? That's what I can do with this cover. After the egg begins to firm up, just pour a tiny bit of water under the edge of the cover and the steam will finish cooking the egg. I've never made a better looking egg than what I can do with a lid. It's also great for melting some cheese on a burger. I freeze burgers from bulk hamburger meat. Covered, they cook much faster. The handle on this cover has never burned me. I'm totally pleased with this cover and what it can do for me in the kitchen.

I ordered two of these and they arrived nested together. How is that possible with the knob handle? Easy, there were no handles. It seems that they fit in the box much better without the knob handle. I will be sending these back!

This does just what is supposed to it will melt anything with grace, however the (plastic) top gets very hot if you are using it on a Bar B Q grill !!!

I bought this cover for a commercial kitchen grill because I have used them in the past and they have performed well. Unfortunately, it didn't come with a knob which renders it rather useless. But I managed to fashion a knob from and old one and a quick trip to the hardware store and the lid performs well.

I use it as a cover when I bake a cheesecake over a 9 inch pan and also after in the refrigerator after.

great for the griddle if you want to melt cheese on burgers.

I needed that size is the only reason I paid that much.
