Awesome Locker
Excellent build quality as usual from Gladiator. I know people sometimes have issues with Gladiator cabinets and shelves arriving with damage due to flimsy packaging, but this locker was packaged very well -- the best I have seen from a Gladiator product. All the sides and corners were well protected and it arrived without any damage. The logo on the front door is done well and the colors match the school colors perfectly. It can't be beat for $79. Great value.

Good for home use as a clothes locker, but not very flexible for other uses, and not a great value overall.
This is a fairly sturdy and tall sport-theme locker, and even though I wouldn't put it on display in a family room, it could probably serve well in a mud room, garage, or a teenager's bedroom if they just can't enough of sports and want that high school locker room experience at home too. The combination lock numbers are so small that you can't possibly see them without getting in close. I can't fathom anyone needing to set the combination lock in a home setting, and trying to operate the small switches would be so frustrating, it would elicit comments that are not family-friendly. Fortunately, when the combination numbers are selected, you can just rotate the knob to latch and unlatch the magnetically-closed door. The magnetic hold is so good, that latching the door isn't necessary (unless you've stuffed the locker with so much that forcing the door closed and latching it is the only way to keep it closed). There is a fixed shelf near the top, much like what is on most school lockers. Just like the lockers at school, this is a very narrow storage space, so adding shelves will only be possible by getting inventive with your own shelving or buying locker shelves that can expand to fit the width once inside. Given that this item would be used in many homes, and possibly not for the traditional hanging of letter jackets, it would have been nice for some allowance to have been made to add shelves. Turning this into a DVD storage cabinet has been mentioned in other reviews, and I can see other uses (video game storage with accessories), so an easy way to add shelving would be most appropriate and an opportunity for the manufacturer to sell said shelving options. The fit and finish of the locker is quite good. The sides are a grey/black pattern that is appropriate for this type of item, and the front door is finished in the school color of choice and the school's logo near the top. The paint on this review sample was done well, and the logo was applied without any imperfections. The steel is a little lighter gauge than what you would find in a school locker, but given that this is intended for home use, I think it's appropriate. While the box that this arrived in was not damaged to a great degree (normal dings and scrapes that would expect to happen during shipping), the locker was dented in the front and back corners on the right side. I'm guessing that the locker fell over, or was log-rolled out of a truck, and that section of the locker took the brunt of it. The dent on the front corner was enough to crease the metal, exposing a slightly sharp edge. While not a big deal in a garage or basement application, it would be unacceptable to have something in that condition in a living room or rec room. Be sure to inspect your item well after receiving it, and find out beforehand what the return policy is if it is damaged. Given its dimensions and weight, you should definitely mount it to a wall, as per the directions. It is very easy to tip over without doing so, and not mounting it risks it falling and damaging anything near it and harming someone in the process. For what it is, I think this is a nice locker and would work well for its intended purpose. For a sports fan that wants to show their love of their favorite team, this is a great way to do it. I can see how a row of these lockers would look really nice in a garage or mud room, and a teenager might like showing off their future alma mater with having it in their room as well. Even though the combination lock is so small as to be useless, I can't envision a lot of people using it in a home setting, so I wouldn't knock off any points as a result. I only gave it three stars because I think it's quite expensive for what it is. If you want to decorate your rec room with a couple of them, you're over $500 for just two, and I just don't think the value is there. Its large size makes it unwieldy to ship, and probably prone to shipping damage, so the potential for frustration of replacing a damaged item adds to the pause one should take when considering buying this locker. Without the ability to add extra shelves easily, its flexibility of being used for other purposes than hanging a couple of jackets and stashing some cleats is quite low. All these things add up to a low value for the price, but if you're looking for what this locker provides (using it as a locker), and you just can't get enough of your favorite collegiate team, and you can afford the purchase price, this locker does deliver on what it promises.

it's a fairly nice product. It feels very solid and well put ...
Getting the locker actually set up was troublesome because there were no instructions in the box. So, the first thing I'd suggest to someone considering ordering it is that you check to see if they have the setup instructions on the website yet and preemptively email customer service asking them to email you the PDF if not. That way, you're guaranteed to have what you'll need when you need it. Other than that, it's a fairly nice product. It feels very solid and well put together. It has a 'new paint' smell to it, but that ought to fade naturally over time. The paint itself seems thick and sturdy. Even after pushing the thing around several times there are no signs it's getting scratched or scuffed so far. There's a center hook for coats or whatever, but not hooks on either side as there usually are in school and gym lockers. This is also taller and deeper than most school and gym lockers I've seen. Other than the hook there's one shelf inside for storage. You have to install the lock on the door yourself. I would have preferred metal loops that you could put a padlock on, for the sake of flexibility. The numbers on the included lock are very tiny and I can easily imagine that some people who would love to have a locker would also have loved to be able to pick a lock with bigger numbers that could be turned to a more convenient angle for unlocking. There's no actual door latch, but it feels as if there's a modestly strong magnet in there to hold the door closed. The hinges are designed to allow you to swing the door all the way open close to 180 degrees. On the whole it's made well and seems like it'll hold up to use indefinitely so long as you don't put it out in the rain or something. You're paying a pretty big premium for the college logos, of course, but that's pretty much part of the package any time you get a sports team involved with any commercial product. Just FYI, the listed tools needed for installation that aren't included are a 3/8" open-end wrench, a 1/4" socket and wrench, a philips screwdriver, and a rubber hammer. They also tell you to drill a 5/16" pilot hole if you don't have a stud right where you need it, so you'll need a drill, plus something like a pin or paperclip to reset the lock combination.

parts missing
I bought this as a gift but unfortunately it was missing parts so was unable to attach handle. Hard to get a hold of manufacturer since they are not open on weekends. Nice locker but ultimately have to give 1 star for poor quality control Manufacturer shipped out part all is well

I bought it for my son. It fits in with the rest of my Gladiator garage and at under a $100 I couldn't pass it up!

Almost a 5-star product - well worth having
Overall, the locker is well constructed, solid, and definitely worth having. The only thing that keeps it from a 5-star rating is the lock. It is nearly impossible to read the combination lock numbers, particularly in a low light situation. They are TINY! Additionally, moving the tumblers to get the correct combination is also difficult for the same reason - the tiny size of the combination numbers. Mounting hardware (for anchoring it to the wall), as well as all other hardware (the lock and coat hook hardware) were included. One suggestion might be to add holes on the sides and allow for the single shelf to be movable. Some may want a bit more (or less) shelf space. Packaging was exceptionally good, and it arrived incredibly quickly.

Sturdy & Spacious
This locker is very well made. It's also serving very well as a new storage closet. There is enough room for my broom underneath the shelf. There are many warnings all over its packaging, advising you to mount it properly to the wall because the product can kill someone if it falls on them. So just be aware you will want to mount it to the wall; if that's a problem for you or your landlord, you may want to consider a storage option that is less likely to tip over. (Not that the locker is flimsy in any way or easy to tip over. But I paid just enough attention in physics class to understand that with something of this shape and height, tipping is a danger you shouldn't ignore. Also, I keep imagining those little critters from DEAD LIKE ME crawling all over it and sending it falling.) Amazon's sales page for this item, at the time of this review, indicates that this is an item that will be scheduled for delivery, and will require a signature. The locker isn't super heavy, but UPS did require that two people lift it. If you don't have a dolly, it's a great idea to have someone around to help you stick it where you intend to mount it to the wall. It ships in the locker packaging, not a second box, and is packaged very securely. It arrived in perfect condition. The door won't latch closed if you don't install the lock. It opens and shuts just fine, however, so if you don't need them and want to leave the locks off, it should work just fine. But they're easy enough to install, and everything you need to install them is included. They are a bit of a pain though, especially since I'll be getting into the locker fairly often. I considered not using the lock at all, but my nephews have very curious little fingers, and I'd just as soon they not slam them in the locker.

Functional / Funky / Kitschy / Conversation Piece
I ordered the Prime Time Locker thinking it would be perfect in the mud room to organize rain coats and boots. My vacationing bro-in-law and nephew volunteered to assemble it while the rest of us grocery shopped. Except for attaching it to a wall, it was all together when I got home. Standing in front of it, there was something whimsical, even kitschy, about it that I found super appealing. This may sound funny to say about a locker, but it's really good looking. The paint job is high quality, thick and smooth looking. Inside is roomy, it's deeper than I remember lockers being. On the other hand it's lacking the hooks I remember; I recall them in the back, plus on the sides. My other negative was not having a second adjustable shelf. Despite all that, I decided it was too appealing to be relegated to the mud room. I expected eye rolling when I said I didn't want to attach it in the mud room, but everyone agreed it is a fun, functional piece worthy of being seen. It's in the TV room and I'm going to find crates that fit to hold movies and games. My bro-in-law had me drop an extension cord down the back before he fixed the locker to the wall in case I want to put a lamp or holiday decoration on top in the future. All in all, the locker is a very cool feeling addition to the room.
