Well made.
Nice item. Bigger than I expected. I didn't read the size description before purchasing. Regardless, it was a pleasant surprise.

Fast simple fun.
Not bad, haven't done this in a long time. Was worried it be too simple but it was fun and fast. Everything fit well and looks great. Better than I expected. I'd buy another similar model.

Sharp Looking, Great Size. Has Some Minor Issues.
I've been building Star Trek and Star Wars model kits for 20 years both as a hobby and professionally. Having three kids, it's been more difficult over the years to find time to do the builds the way I would like to do them, so I sold the vast majority of my kits and I've been focusing exclusively on pre-painted kits from Revell and Bandai that require very little alteration. I still glue (weld) my parts and I weather, but the kind of effort I put into kits has been drastically reduced. Poe's X-Wing fighter, overall, for what it is, is a very good kit. For he most part it went together very easily using Tenax-7R,Since Tenax-7R is not available anymore (thanks, EPA!), you'll get similar results from other plastic welders which will soften your pins and allow them to slide in. If you're just looking to snap it together... yeah, you can do that, too, but it will be tough to hide the slight gaps. The size of the model is excellent, coming in at about 12" in length when completed and it's a very sharp kit. There are a few cons that aren't really dealbreakers but should be noted: 1.) The instructions involving the assembly of the wings and the cannons are VERY confusing. Since it is done by illustration only, it would have been a better choice to CLEARLY indicate which wings were which among other things. 2.) The stand is dreadful. It's a great concept and it looks great but it's very difficult to get the pieces of it together (you feel like you're going to break them) and the model does not attach to it well. 3.) The biggest issue with this kit is the four cannons on the wings. They are so thin that if your breathe wrong, you'll bend them. This makes ZERO sense whatsoever. The Build-N-Play version of the kit has cannons that are about three times as thick despite the model being about half the size. I haven't looked into it but if someone has made aftermarket replacements for the cannons, I would highly recommend replacing the ones that came with the kit. Overall, though, i was very pleased with how the kit turned out.

I would not recommend
Questionable sprue layout, unnecessarily cumbersome. Terrible fit. The wings won't close flush. The cannons fall off easily. Feels very cheap. You're better off buying the Bandai kit if you want a new X-Wing from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
