Perfect, perfect sunhat! I love mine :-)
This is a great sunhat! I am very impressed and only wish it came in more colors. I picked black since I wasn't in love with the other hues available online, so it can go with everything and not clash with my crayon-colored hair of the month.My skin is very pale, due to my heritage and my lack of constant exposure to the sun due to my work (graveyard office job) and my hobbies (computer and gaming nerd!). That said, sometimes I like to do outside activities like go to the zoo, or take a hike. At these times I have slathered my pasty skin in SPF lotion, and worn sunglasses, but I still often find my sensitive eyes squinting due to light coming in around my shades and sometimes a slightly tender nose even if I don't actually even see any pink coloring. To protect my skin, eyes and comfort I decided to shop around for a sunhat that suited me.I looked at the zoo, some local shops, and online. Finally I found this Wallaroo hat that appealed to my style and my desire for functionality as well. The hat wasn't the cheapest, nor by far the most costly, but soundly in the middle which to me typically indicates reasonable quality and I was not disappointed when my Wallaroo hat arrived in the mail. It really does suit my needs for a sunhat quite perfectly. Please allow me to explain the hat below (and through the attached photos that I hope get posted properly!):Pros:-This hat is a good sunhat size. It is big enough to reasonably shade your eyes and the majority of your face, with appearing ridiculously overlarge. Not that there is anything wrong with a huge sunhat, but those really do require a certain time and place, and will probably knockout fellow tourists if you wear them someplace where you are walking about, as opposed to perhaps sitting on the beach.-The shape is great, and moreover you can shape it to your needs! There is a wire in the brim that is very malleable, yet which holds its shape as you smoosh it. You can create the perfect bends to see where you are going but to block the sun from your face. You can cover your face and snooze. You can mash it up and back entirely when needed so your face is free and unobstructed. You can have a smooth circle brim, or big ripples or a bunch of tiny ones. Whatever you want, and it holds well but can be reshaped again and again. My only concern is that someday the wire will break, but for now it has a durable feel to it and nothing lasts forever.-The fabric is fun (with little polka dots), light but durable. The clever way tiny strips were sewn together makes the hat flexible, cool and unique looking as it does indeed have an imperfectly imperfect look to the slightly askew pattern of the strips. I also think this makes the dots look casually cool.-Although it hasn't got a neck strap (I am sure you could add one if you were handy!) it does have a nice adjustable headband which I show in my attached images. It is well made with a good string. This allows the hat to go (on my average size medium head) from ever so slighly loose to snug to way too tight. For me this is perfect, and will be enough to keep it comfortable, or a little snug if it is windy.-----About the above, the hat and headband are not really stretchy at all, so if you have a larger than average size head this one may be too small for you. I don't think they have bigger sizes, though you could always email them and request that in the future or for suggestions of their biggest hats. People with smaller heads *should* find this hat pretty well suited to them, too, due to the adjustable band.-The hat is truly packable. You can roll it up small as can be and it pops right back to shape. See attached pictures.-I appreciate the high SPF of this sunhat and I appreciate the company donating to skin cancer charities. That makes me feel safer in the sun and happy to support a good company that makes good products and who seems to care about people. Excellent qualities I am pleased to support!Cons:-I haven't got any so far. If the item falls apart I will update immediately, but this hat appears well made and I don't expect that to happen.-Only suggestion I have to Wallaroo is to make more colors. I am a color aficionado! What does that mean? It means I love to buy things that are bright and fun. My hair was just neon orange and now it is hot pink. I like to mix and match colors, too. I did get black, cause I wasn't fond of the shades of color available and because I knew black would go with it all and make my bright hair pop. But I would love HOT pink, bright teal, vivid orange, canary yellow... If they come out with other colors I think I would grab one or two more hats for sure.Overall impression? This is a fairly perfect sunhat - good size, fun, adjustable, floppy but has a good (and malleable!) form + it is packable and has a high SPF for extra sun safety. The hat quality is on the nose and the company seems to care about people (they donate to cancer charity) so they - and the hat - get two thumbs up from me. I will recommend to you (to my mom, who loves hats) and to others. Hope this review helped and best of luck to you! :-)UPDATE 08/09/2016: I wanted to update to say the hat is still working out great for me. I use it whenever I am going to be outside for a chunk of the day, like at the park, beach or zoo. Sometimes I actually have gotten it sweaty around the brim while wearing it, when the temps are 100+ that happens!, but the fantastic thing is that it dries very quickly - like sitting in the shade to eat lunch for 30 minutes with the hat off does the trick - which is yet another great feature. 5+ stars! Two thumbs up, etc.! :-)UPDATE 03/08/2019: So had this hat quite awhile! It still looks pretty much fresh and nice as the day I got it. I've only hand washed it with Woolite in the sink and this has worked fine. It washes and dries well. I usually keep it in my trunk in case I am out and need it. I came back to finally pick one up in another color and I am pleased to see additional offerings. I may snap up grey or natural! Maybe someday they will make this hat in violet :-)

The Best Floppy, Casual Sun Hat 🌞
My style is very comfortable and low-maintenance (i.e., I love bucket hats and neutral colors). I also love floppy sun hats because it goes to with my curly hair. I own multiple sun hats, none SPF rated so I thought it was time. I’ve been eyeing this hat for a while wondering if the price tag was worth it. Well, I can say after owning the hat for one day, that it is. This hat is beyond versatile and stylish. It is also extremely functional. I tried to take a picture of the ginormous shadow it casts, but could not because it does not fully fit in the photo. From around noon-2pm on a bright and sunny June day in Phoenix, Arizona, the hat’s shadow would cast down to my belly button. And all the way to my knees when bending my neck down!My first impression of the hat was how well the brim stayed in place - my very top concern when deciding to purchase the hat. I pulled it out of the box, tried it on, and without touching the brim it looked so cute with just the right amount of wave. You can style the brim anyway you’d like without having to worry about it staying in place or looking good... it just does! Every time I look in the mirror I’m shocked at how flattering the hat and brim are.I think the ONLY downside (for me, at least) is the hideous BROWN paisley pattern on the inside of my GRAY hat. Ew, it does not match. At least it is not visible while wearing. Plus the function it serves is more than welcome. When tying the hat just right, it fits snugly on the head without needing a chin tie to hold it on. To hide the excess strap, I loop a large bow so it’s hidden in the hat itself. I choose to tie it slightly loose, in order to avoid hat hair, but could tighten it up when or if weather permitted.So today I ventured out in my new hat for the first time. I had to run a few errands and was pleasantly surprised by a couple functions. First, when I went into the store, I didn’t have to remove the hat in order to see properly and view what I was doing. I simply flipped the brim up, while looking like Paddington Bear, and proceeded to go about my shopping having no issues with visibility. Second, when sitting near a window with a single direction of light, I flopped the brim to one side and felt sheltered and protected as if I were inside a cocoon of shade. A shade cocoon, if you would.I bought this hat for my upcoming Vegas trip in July. I will most likely wear this thing everyday so I plan on updating to see if it’s just as great over time.So far, I’m very pleased.

Wonderful Travel Hat
Loved love this hat. I get migraines with the heat and hot sun and this hat has been a lifesaver. I have taken it on many trips and on my last trip to Peru I left it on an excursion and re ordering one for future trips. I love that it folds easily when I don’t need it and I can put it in my small backpack

BUY THE SYDNEY HAT By Wallaroo INSTEAD
It is just not the hat that the Sydney hat by Wallaroo is. I did not like the balck with white dots look once I got it. Am I keeping it? yes. It is a well functioning high UPF hat. It is made so that is comfortable. However, the Sydney hat is perfection. This one packs well but is not so flattering

The PERFECT Sun Hat
I finally found my perfect sun hat. Super lightweight, packable and scrunchable like described. Fits in a small purse. The ideal hat for traveling. The fact that you can style it in so many ways, makes it super versatile. The grey color is neutral, perfect contrast against my fair skin, and matches every outfit!! Received so many compliments.

This hat has all of the virtues of a summer hat
This is my second Wallaroo hat in this style. It goes without saying that is lightweight, wide brimmed and fun to wear. The first one, in a different pattern, is still looking good after 3 years. It is the only hat I wear in the summer. So comfortable and the brim can be quickly adjusted to suit changing needs-sun, shade, indoors etc. It is pretty comfortable in the hot sun. And it doesn't give me "hat head". Fits in my backpack. 'I'm so happy with this new white one. It also looks great on. Thank-you Wallaroo for a great hat

Good hat!
As described. Colour is lovely, brim quite wide and malleable to give good sun protection. Have not used it yet but I expect it will travel well. Happy with purchase.

Excellent - I have quite a collection!
These hats are excellent - I already have six in different colours. They fold up for packing and can even be fitted into my small to medium sized handbags. They spring back into shape when running your finger around the brim which is large enough to shield both face and neck from the sun. Most hats are too small for me but this one fits perfectly. An added bonus is that they wash so well - I use the Express cycle on 20c and after many washes they are still as good as new. I'm hoping the navy/white spotted one will be available again soon to replace the first one I bought years ago which has just 'lost' the wire from the brim.

Exactly what I was looking for - Comfortable, easy to pack, stylish and provides good sun protection
I thought these hats were so pretty that I have bought 2 in different colours. Because they are not tight fitting, they do not let the head get hot, yet the drawstring keeps them in place;
