The good side is that it “fits” and can be mounted in reverse. The bad is that on my 55-200 the alignment mark is way off. This hood does not snap into place and actually can be turned in the locking direction until it is removable again. There is no “click” or stop. I don’t feel that it is a good fit for this lens although it does hold securely.Strangely, this hood never locks. I doubt if it would fall off since it takes unusual force to disengage it. So much that I feel it is necessary while mounting/dismounting to extend the lens so that I can grip the barrel to avoid stressing the cams.I’m going to splurge and order the genuine Nikon hood.

Not a lot to say about a piece of plastic but it fit perfectly, securely snapping on. Like the matte finish and have had no issues with reflections or vignette in my photos. Usually prefer Nikon products and am very picky about my camera gear but they were out of stock and this was less than half the price. Very pleased with my purchase and recommend this product.

This is a well made lens hood, almost indistinguishable from the Nikon original. It differs only in that it will not "click" into place. You just have to turn it until it feels like a snug fit.

This product perfectly fit my 55-200mm VR II. I look similar to the genuine lens hood, but the genuine one is just a little bit glossier. However, it's strong and preventing lens flare. I take one star off because the marker on the hood doesn't match the marker on the lens. But overall this is great product.

Very satisfied with this lens hood. Fits on my Nikon AF-S 55-200mm 1.4-5.6 GII ED DX VR lens perfectly with a nice "snap" in both directions. Finish is good. What else can you ask for for the price? Recommend!
