Only Epson will do
I originally ordered an off-brand, thinking I had ordered the Epson brand ink for my computer. What happened was the off-brand would not work at all in my Epson printer and refused to accept the cartridges. So I sent them back and bought the Epson brand and now my printer works just fine and prints beautifully. Don't accept substitutes--buy the Epson brand for your Epson printer. You'll be much happier with the results, and really--the price isn't that much different from the off-brands.

QUALITY beats cheap.
Friends kept telling me I needed to try the cheap ink. Works great, they said. You'll save a bundle, they said. So I did. I have an Epson XP-820 Expression Premium that had been working perfectly until I took all that wonderful advice and bought cheap ink. I understand that it may work for others, but it did not work for me. Within a few, a very few, copies the pages began getting lighter. I did the maintenance nozzle check (which was bad), and the head cleaning, which did no good. The printer drank the black ink like a cold beer, but I had a replacement (the cheap kind). I removed the plastic cap, and the little monster exploded black ink all over me. I was done. Immediately, after cleaning up the mess, I ordered Epson ink. Replaced the bad stuff with the good stuff, and was hoping to see an immediate fix but I was not expecting it. Because how many immediate fixes do you experience these days? But the very first page I printed was perfect! And they have kept on being perfect. Lesson learned.

I'm rating the ink cartridge, not the printer
I find it rather strange that most of the reviews posted here are reviews for Epson printers, not this particular ink cartridge. Does Epson, and other printer manufacturers - including HP - design their printers and ink cartridges in a manner that forces us to buy more ink? Yup. Are the printers dirt cheap and the ink cartridges pricey? Yup. But none of that has much to do with whether or not this product does what it's supposed to do. This cartridge installs quickly and easily, prints fantastic images and text, and costs less than retail at Best Buy, Staples, etc. The reason I give it four stars instead of five is because what other reviewers say is true - the capacity could be better. These cartridges only cost companies pennies to manufacture, so it wouldn't kill them to put a little more ink in them. But other than that, this ink cartridge performs very well.

No One like Buying Ink
So we all know how it works, you by a printer and it's not that expensive but then after printing out a few hundred pages from online phonebooks to build an authentic old timee paper phonebook for your grandma you run out of ink. The icon on your screen flashes, lights on your printer goes off, and it makes you feel like a bad bad person for even trying to print with low ink. Well fear not, this ink will solve your woes. It will print you a world in vibrant hughes of the rainbow (assume your rainbow looks best in gray scale). It will print your tax forms, it will even print giant letters you can tape together to form a giant banner reading "Hooray for Ink". In short it will do exactly what it's supposed to do, and you'll love it. But like any good romance it won't last, and soon you'll take it for granted and it will start nagging you to change it. Then when you finally decide to it will give you that look when you take it out, reminding you of the good times, late night head cleanings, that special paper jam, the way it never mocked your horrible spelling. But you'll get over it and throw it out, after all we all know at some point you'll want a newer, younger model. One that's filled with ink rather then sorrow.

Great print quality
I use my printer (Epson XP-810) almost exclusively to print labels on CDs. Even when the print driver is set to "speed" rather than "quality" the resolution and color I'm getting is the best I've ever had. I have always been an HP user, but as they no longer have a printer that prints on CDs I made the switch to Epson. As far as how long the ink lasts I don't see much difference from my old HP printer. I have balanced the cost by using a laserjet for everyday printing, and the inkjet just for special projects.Unfortunately some of the cartridges being sold have been on the shelf for a while, and the ink gets dry. This causes users to run multiple head cleanings, which can use up a lot of ink fast. Try this instead if the nozzle check is poor: leave the cap on the cartridge, seal it in a Ziploc bag and immerse it in hot water for a few minutes. I have found this almost always corrects the problem without any head cleanings at all.

The colours print out very nicely & clear.
When using these cartridges for photos they tend to empty too quickly, should have used the XL cartridges.

Bon produit
Pour mon imprimante xp61p. Un peu dispendieux mais on doit utiliser les cartouches originales de temps en temps.
