The socks widen out after about a month or two. But, as exspensive as they are, they are still cheap for wide width socks.And I have very, very large ankles (12” dia) and my calfs are much larger.The socks fit great and I drop about 100.00+ every two years for a new dozen.Been buying them since I discovered them about 15 yrs or more now. I would love to find some with a design of dome sort but the white and black pairs of socks have serving me well.

I'm always on the lookout for large loose socks to wear while sleeping. (My feet get cold.) I hesitated to buy these because the price was high, but I'm glad I tried them. Be aware that the L size might still be too tight on your legs if you are looking for a loose sock. I bought L and XL, and I prefer the XL. This is how they measure up: The foot is basically the same on both. If you measure while they are flat, the foot length is about 10 1/2 in. and the foot height of the flat sock is about 4 1/2 in. The height of the sock itself is 12 1/2 in. on both sizes.The BIG difference is the width of the part that covers your leg. When flat, the XL is 4 1/2 in. wide, but the L is only 3 1/2 in. wide. That means the unstretched XL will be 9 in. around your leg and the unstretched L will be 7 in. around. The XL leg portion is also a looser knit than the L, so it stretches more easily than the L does. The top of the L size caused an indentation line on my calf, but the XL did not. (And I have thin legs.) So if you want a truly loose fit, I recommend the XL size. I wish I had gone with the XL for both packages.

Seems that the sock industry has one size and that size is uncomfortable for big people. These things fit great, are comfortable and stay in place. I wish I could buy an assortment rather than 3 of each. I don't wear these enough to comment on durability. These are my dress socks and I'm usually in work socks that are ankle high or no-shows.

Comfortable for husband with severe lymphedema; easy for me to get on his feet. Aesthetically pleasing. Was glad to be able to find something to suit our needs.

These are the most comfortable, best fitting socks I've ever owned. I love these socks! Highly recommended! I own 12 pairs in all the different colors they make. Buy them, you won't regret it.

They are sized accurately and seem to be well made, but as they haven't been thru a wash cycle, yet, I can't answer for their durability. From their feel,, I expect them to do well, tho.

This sock fits men with large calfs. The weave is a bit coarse. It does not have a constricting band at the top. I did remain up in the first days wearing. I don't have experience yet with multiple washes and wear.

Finding large socks is a nightmare. I wear a 16 6E and struggle to find anything. These socks are extremely comfortable but do wear out pretty fast.
