I don't know if it was kept with something perfumed or if something was spilled on it, but it is awful. I soaked it in vinegar, which reduced the smell but it is still there. It reminds me of heavily scented toilet paper or a cleaner like Fabuloso. If you order this, I definitely recommend you only order this item on that day. desertcart put a calendar in the box with my order and it initially stunk too, but these numbers are definitely the source. The calendar appears to be fine now.
