Sealing the ear from water
As a swimmer for the past 40 years, I have to say these earbuds are amazing. They do exactly what they’re designed for—sealing the ears from water. A solid 10 out of 10!

Buy these
I went through several pairs of ear plugs before I found these. Very comfortable and good seal to keep water out. Highly recommend. P

Doesn't work for me
My left ear must be weird, nothing ever seems to work for it once I hit the water, and I always end up with painful water in the ear.

Keeps the water out
I've always suffered from ear infections and just started a swimming routine so I needed a way to keep my ear canal dry. I saw the molded silicone ones from Mack's are more highly rated by avid swimmers but I wanted something simple. These have done a good job so far. One of my ear canals are smaller than the other so I was a little worried they might not work but I've had no issue. As an added bonus, they rely on water pressure to form the seal which allows you to hear better when not in the water. Excellent value as far as I'm concerned. The silicone plugs have worn well after 4 weeks of almost daily use and the only time I've been getting water in my ears is because I didn't set the seal properly. My only improvement suggestion would be a better carrying case. It's only going to be a matter of time before the latch on the supplied case breaks and the soft silicone in the ear plugs needs to be protected when not being used or they will deform/tear. At $5 it's not the end of the world to buy another set every few months though I may look for a better carrying case to fit these.

Nothing but water in the ears
I pool swim daily and have tried many different plugs. These are the worst. The big flaps actually channel water into your ear canal. It's impossible to get a good seal and have been suffering from water trapped in my ears for half the day until it eventually drains out. I bought another well known industry leading brand (you can probably guess who) at the same time and they perform perfectly.

Works well, recommend
I started training for a triathlon and so was having to spend a lot of time in the pool. I'm prone to swimmer's ear, so I was worried about that. I figured I'd give these a shot. They are a little odd when you get them, you have to look in the mirror and sort of match the shape to your ear to figure out which one is for which ear. But then you just fit them in gently. It doesn't create a water tight seal, so I was wondering how well they would work. But actually, they work great.Like I said, it's not a water tight seal, but it does well in keeping most of the water out. And what does get in doesn't seem to bother me, no swimmer's ear. You can also still hear a bit, but I found it's actually really nice because it lets me block out the din of chatter around me so I can focus.Five stars because they do the job well, they are comfortable and easy to care for. I just give them a rinse with tap water after a swim session and set them back in their case with the lid open. I never swim without them.
