These are well made and easier to install than I would have thought. The plastic is sturdy enough to hold up to life in the ground and took a beating from a mallet when I installed it. The spikes do a great job of dissipating water down into the drip holes. I can send almost a full stream out of my house in a steady manner and it won't overflow.

Worked great, hammered them in with a rubber mallet. Makes deep watering my new treats simple.

We have an orchard in so cal, and these work GREAT! Would recommend these stakes. First time installed 10 years ago. Over the years some were damaged by tractor, so now replacing some of them.

Where I live there are a lot of rocks and caliche soil which makes digging holes for these drips REALLY difficult and backbreaking work. Once done thought my trees thrive with the deeper watering. I do not have a "drip system" and place the hose nozzle centered so the drip flow of water will run down the non-hole side. With our 5-month summers with over 100 degrees daily, deep watering really makes a difference.

I was planning to use these with a regular hose and just set the water flow very low. To my surprise, the flow rate isn't important at all. The hose creates a weak seal inside the stake and the seal basically allows you to inject water into the soil like a syringe. I'm kind of shocked this wasn't the intentional design of the manufacturers. Also, I was mildly impressed that none of the stakes cracked from being driven into the ground.

These deep drip watering stakes are totally the answer for any deep watering. We have River Birch - they need ALOT of deep watering. These stakes were the answer to make sure our trees look healthy.

This was the perfect size and works great in my raised bed garden. I got them because I was worried about water and fertilizer going all the way to the bottom for my plant roots. My plants are doing better than ever.

Even though the pictures show a stake and the instructions say insert stake first, no stakes came with the tubes. The ties and netting were included as shown in the pictures.
