True To Size? Absolutely YES!!!
Okay,Before ordering my huaraches, I read complaints packaged in all sizes and colors. So, I rolled the dice and the end result?Best thing I ever did.Number one. True to size? Yes. Order your size and you will be happy. Two: "they are narrow..." Yes, they are. However, these are huaraches made of a skin that originally belonged to a living form of life. This material is "NOT" a thing, not an inorganic object but an organic form of nature that resulted out of a "process" from nature. Translation? The skin molds to your feet. It stretches, it retracts, it softens. Nature already perfected it and man could not have engineered it any better. Not possible. When I got my pair -two weeks ago- before I even put them on, I used the leather dressing that you see in the picture. Why? Because the huaraches are new. When genuine leather is unworn by man, the animal's skin is hard, stiff and uncomfortable. By working the leather dressing into the organic porous animal skin, with time and wear, huaraches will soften, give, (stretches/retracts) and become water as well as to resistant to radiation from the sun. The color will not fade. Debri from wearing them outdoors simply drops to the ground with a simple dusting of a towel or soft brush. Nothing will stain or stick to the surface. Not even coffee or wine. So long as a coat of the the Pecard leather dressing is on the surface? Your huaraches will shine!Realistically? I wore mine everyday all day for the first seven days. By day ten? My huaraches were already feeling like a favorite pair of old denim. Today is day sixteen and they have "molded" to my foot feeling as if I came out of my mother's womb with them on. I forget I have them on. That's how comfortable they've matured. Four day ago, I added a second coat of Pecard just to get them right at that "Sweet-Spot" we all search for. I also added soles because I have a high arc. I used a strip of industrial strength water resistant low profile/thin design peel and stick velcro placed just below my heel to keep them in place. The end result? Birkenstock ain't got nothing on these original hand made huaraches. Yes, I read all the complaints in here like; ..."too much toe space," "...one did not look like the other," or "they are hard...," and my favorite one of all;"...the skin color does not match."Dear Lord. It is an organic process from nature -people! If you want to complain, you will find plenty to complain about. To these folks I suggest they stick to their European white upper class attire -Birkenstocks. To the folks who understand the origin of huaraches and the beauty of their versatility and craftsmanship? They are the equivalent to getting your favorite tattoo, painful at first but rewarded in the longer term. Or in short...?"Earned."

Durable handmade sandals
The media could not be loaded. I like the fit and design. They are very durable and comfortable. The soles are an imitation tire tread that feels about the same as actual tire rubber. There is a little bit of cushioning between the leather insole and the rubber outsole. Fits as expected. The leather will form to your foot as you wear them. There was a little bit of a sharp point that I had to trim because it was hurting my toe, but it was easily fixed.

Inconsistent size
Had to upsize as 11 doesn't fit on the left, but fine on the right.
