Well-made Fantasy Knife For The Price
For an under 10 dollar knife, these "assassin daggers" are 5-star. I bought 2 of them to go along with a renaissance-type costume, and they are perfect for it. But even though these are fantasy knives (ie, display knives), they still have a very real, factory-sharpened stainless steel blade. They are not razor sharp, but they are certainly sharp enough to cause real damage. Of course you can always hone the edges further, yourself, but you shouldn't need to because the real design of this type of dagger was for stabbing & thrusting. The point needed to be sharp, but it wasn't necessary for the edges to be razor sharp since they were meant to simply cause a hole that would cause profuse bleeding, rather than a slice or a cut. The sheath is ABS black plastic (which is pretty rugged) with a starburst design, and ornate cast metal on both ends. It gives the little knife some weight. The dagger's V-shaped hand guard matches right up against the sheath top, which has a little chain attached, I guess to hook it onto your belt or something. But the chain is weak, I wouldn't really trust them for actual wear, so I replaced them with black cord in order to tie them to my belt securely. If you're just using the knife for display, the chain is better, visually. The blade stays snugly in the sheath because there's foam inside, which also prevents scratching the blade or having it rattling around. With cheaper fantasy knives, it seems that something is usually loose & rattling, but happily that is not the case with these. The blade is brushed stainless steel with a blood groove down the center on one side. The handles are made with the same ABS black plastic, with cast metal rings around it. On the pommel of the handle there is a punch-spike (to which I have customized further by attaching a tassel :). I couldn't tell you how far the blade tang goes into the handle but they seem awfully sturdy. If you attempt to use this dagger as a throwing knife, it will absolutely ruin it (they're not even designed or balanced for throwing) but aside from that even though they're display knives, they have the potential to be quite functional. Fortunately both sides of the dagger & sheath are the same, which is nice because sometimes with fantasy knives, only one side has all the designs on it. Well that about covers it! For the price, 5 stars, you can't go wrong. They're cheap, made with lower-end materials, but they're not cheaply made...and I've seen my share of crappy fantasy knives. They are great on display & great for cosplay, and I imagine they would also be great for self-defense if ever the situation arises & you happen to have one of these strapped to your leg or something. They are sturdy enough that as long as you don't abuse them, they should hold together for quite some time.

I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could
I bought this as a prop to a costume for Halloween, but apparently didn't read the description well enough because this thing is sharp enough to kill someone. Couldn't use it for what I wanted without getting in trouble with campus police. But just because I'm dumb and didn't read the description doesn't mean it's a bad product. The product is very high quality for the price you pay for it. After receiving it, I was honestly surprised the price was so low. It was sharp enough to hurt without much effort, but it wasn't sharp enough to cut anything effortlessly like some of the more expensive knives you can buy on this site. It had some weight to it, and although the black part of the handle and sheath were made of plastic, it wasn't necessarily cheap plastic. The blade fit into the sheath snugly. It wasn't a struggle to push in or pull out, but it also wasn't loose enough that the sheath just falls off. The blade isn't 100% metal, but it wasn't a cheap material. Again, it's very high quality for the price you pay. I'm giving the product 4 stars because there were a few imperfections that will more than likely vary slightly between products. For example, there was a sliver of the plastic of the sheath that stuck out and had to be pulled off. The chain was the cheapest part of the knife. It was made of pure plastic with no metal and seemed like it would break off with barely any effort. The knife could honestly have just gone without the chain and been fine. Overall I was impressed by the product, however.

A great solid decorative knife for a good price
- First off: Right away I am going to say this: It is NOT a battle-ready dagger, it's not even full tang (I'll explain how I found out for myself.). So it shouldn't be put under any kind of stress, but it is pointed and decently sharp, so be careful. - The knife: I have owned this knife since Christmas, I bought one for myself and a friend, because he collects knives and I was interested in this product. The knife came to us in a white shiny cardboard box with red velvet-like inside, with the knife included of course. The knife itself is actually quite detailed for the price. The handle and sheath are made of metal and plastic, but not at all flimsy. It's all put together with the blade in a solid, decorative craft. Two only things I saw that were cheap-cheap things about this dagger is the chain (but that's my personal opinion), it just looks kinda weak and it connects to the dagger sheath with two thin rings. Of course you can go to the hardware store and get a stronger, heftier looking chain for five bucks or less at the same length or more. So I would recommend getting a different chain. Inside the sheath, I see two white foam or poster-board-like rectangles along the sides of the sheath. This is to help the dagger from rattling around, but you can't see it unless you actually look INTO the sheath. For looks, decorative, LARP, photos, videos or whatever project you wish to use this knife in, it's a very good prop and the blade doesn't look that bad at all. It doesn't look flimsy or that cheap. You'd have to examine it VERY closely to even tell it has cheap details. Over all it's a solid design, nothing's flimsy about the dagger, and it only slightly rattles in it's sheath. - Stabbing test ***** Treat your knives with respect! ***** I did say this knife isn't at all meant for any sort of abuse, but I did put my knife in abuse to see how it handles. And to be honest it handles abuse well. Basically I got a plank of wood and stabbed the wood a couple of times. I got the knife in good and when I pulled back, the handle came off. This is how I learned the knife isn't full tang. The repair was quick. Re-align the handle and the knife, it's a really tight fit and I pushed all my weight down onto it and the knife returned into the handle snugly. It's still with me on my desk, right now and there's no rattling or any indication the knife ever left the handle.

Perfect!
The sheath is plastic and lightweight but its still durable. The blade is nicer and sharper than I expected. I took a picture of my hand compared to the size. Im petite and have very small hands so I like the size. Definitely worth the price!

Pretty good for the price
Got this on sale for approx $8 and free shipping with Prime. At that cost, this is a pretty decent box cutter/letter opener/(cheap) costume piece. I knew what to expect with this so I was not disappointed, but here are some things people ought to know: - At this price point, the only thing metal is the blade itself. The sheath is notably thin, but the handle/hilt is pretty sturdy. - The blade is sharp (machined), but not consistent in the edge. some additional sharpening may be required if you care about that - The "belt loop" is essentially the same you'd find on an 8yr olds wallet chain. Will not fit a thicker belt nor will it hang properly, or even sheath properly. If you want to wear it, be prepared to make some modifications - or wear a really thin belt. Again, this is a good looking, but cheap item. It looks great when compared to similarly prices items. I don't think I would have given it 5 stars if it had been more than $10. But at 8 dollars, you can look cool slicing open that letter and won't get upset when the thing dulls or the plastic cracks.

Nice knife for the price
I'll start off with the bad, just to get it out of the way. 1. There is a chain on the sheathe, which is good, but the rings that hook the chain to the sheathe feel very cheap and are easily bendable. These rings can also get in the way of sheathing the blade completely sometimes. 2. The black parts ARE plastic, but very solid. 3. Feels a little lighter than I'd like, but that's personal. Now for the good! 1. This blade looks simply awesome. It's a very nice looking piece. 2. The blade could definitely hurt someone if needed, but I can't see anyone actually carrying this around. haha 3. I really love the simplicity of the whole thing. 4. It's a very good knife for the price. 5. The silver parts in the picture look darker in person, which I like. Almost a grey instead of a silver. In all, I think I may actually order another just because I like it so much. I recommend buying this. EDIT: I'm changing my review to 3 stars, because upon closer inspection, I've noticed that the chain links are not solid. Not a single one is actually closed, which means the slip apart with any type of force. I put the blade on my belt to see how sheathing/unsheathing would work, and 2/3 times, the chain came apart somewhere. The knife is still good, but the chain isn't worth anything. I'm probably just going to take it off.

Great Dagger
I have a big liking for weapons, so I like to collect them. I ordered this and a finger claw, it's the most common one you'll see when you search it, I was excited for this and the claw to arrive. I must say, when this thing arrived, I was nervous to see how it would turn out... Let me say that it is just perfect... or at least pretty darn close. It's got a nice weight to it, but I only say that because I'm used to holding my homemade wooden weapons which are pretty lightweight. Real sturdy and has a nice feel to it. I love how the sheathe is tight so it doesn't jingle around loosely and the blade is nice and thin, smaller than I thought it'd be, but still real nice. The chain gives it a less generic look, although I don't know if I'd trust it to hold the dagger's weight on a belt so I wouldn't try it. Overall, it's a really good dagger and it'll fit right into my simple collection of weapons, I'm sure it could fit in yours too. for ten bucks, I'd say it's a steal, and I got it on sale for seven bucks or so, but hey, I ain't complaining! Good buy, if the looks interest you, I'm sure it won't fail to live up to expectation. go give it a shot!

good display knife!
This is a really cool knife I just use it for display, but I never used it for cutting. when I wore this knife on a belt and took the knife out and put it back in the chain broke but I bet you can fix it.

Display only
Definitely only for display, wouldn’t cut through anything. Handle has some weird paint issues and is a little shaky. Can’t deny it looks cool though

Poor Quality
For the price I paid and the price of shipping and duty. I was very disappointed in the product, if I had known it was partly plastic I would have never ordered it.
