This child safety lock clearly announces to guests "MY KIDS OWN THE HOUSE". While I love being able to keep my kids out of trouble, there is no way to make a while and green 9" plastic strap look good against wood colored (or black) cabinets. I have no desire to fasten shut my stainless steel trash can, and sealing up the potty would be a disaster with 6 people in the house. I just cannot see how this would be a practical item or find a way to make it look less tacky. It may be alright in a utility room or garage, where you don't have to look at it very often, but I plan to stick with less "offensive" looking child locks for now.I received this item in exchange for an honest review. ### ⭐⭐ Difficult to use *by A***W on Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2017* I ended up returning these because they were very stiff and difficult for me to open and unlatch.
