I mostly picked up this book because I didn't think there was any way the author could pull it off.I was wrong.I'm not even exactly sure how she did it, but she did it.There is so much content on kindle these days. I see authors with a book coming out every-other-month. And they're okay books. No criticisms there. But the truth is that EXCELLENT fiction takes time.Cheryl St. John has been around since authors really had to hone their craft to get published. This may seem like eons to some, but it's really only been about 10 years since books went completely wild, wild, west. And while this led to some awesome things, it also led to a lot, lot, lot of questionable fiction.If you want truly excellent fiction because you only have a limited amount of time in your day, read this book, then obsessively read every other thing in Cheryl St.John's library.You won't be sorry.

An original scenario! The ultimate identical twin swap!The storyline was exciting and different, but got bogged down with the amnesia complication! While it was an inevitable twist to the story, the whole who's who of names was confusing.Cheryl St John did remarkably well trying to keep everyone's name straight because it got crazy!Some of the angst was over the top, as recriminations ensued the "not being married" narrative was absurd!The book was compelling and creative! I found the latter parts of the novel to be very moving with lot's of "feels". I look forward to reading a second book by the author!

The ultimate sacrifice for a man to give his brother the freedom he desires, then to live that life for many years. This grabbed me from the first page. I couldn't put it down, read it in one evening! Cheryl outdid herself with this one.

Loved this book. It was the first one I had read by Cheryl St John. Being from Nebraska I enjoyed the local references Will definitely be reading more of her books.

A good sweet story about mistakes and forgiveness.about true love and learning from those mistakes. This is well written with detailed descriptions.

A tale of everlasting love that has been tested & hard won, surrounded by a family with imperfections. Love won out.

I loved that with every turn of the page I had no clue what would happen next and I was anxious throughout. Secrets, Lies, Love, Family, and Heartache collide in this emotional tale!! At certain points I had no idea what to think and I kept worrying for the characters. This book kept me on my toes and gripping my kindle till the very end!! A Husband By Any Other Name tugged on my heart strings. The lines between right and wrong are blurred and I kept questioning myself as to what side I was on.I was glad that there was multiple POVs instead of just one and I knew what was going on in the main characters minds. Dan and Lorraine's story broke my heart and warmed it as well. It was beautiful, sad, sweet, intense, and full of surprises! The one thing that kept popping up in my mind is - "What would you do for love?" Ms.John created such an engaging story where the truth can either make or break the characters but it's up to them to decide if love is worth the risk! I can't wait to check out more of her work!! :)Dan Beckett was a character that like any other human being wanted approval from the people he loved. When his twin brother left he took his place. By doing so he got to be with the woman he loved. Fast forward 14 years later guilt still eats away at him daily and when his brother returns with no memory of his life it's time for him to face the music. Even though he lied I didn't hate him as a character. I actually adored him and the honest love that he had for his family was a thing of beauty. I didn't like the pain he went through and my heart hurt for him. I hoped in the end everyone would know the truth so he could finally breathe and be happy. Also, I hoped his loved ones would understand even though what he had to say was major.Lorraine was a character that wanted to make her own choices in life especially when it came to who she loved. When she discovers some life changing news not only is she worried but she's fearful of losing everything. The first thing she did was drive to her boyfriend's house to tell him. She never expected her that night for her life to change more. Fast forward 14 years she's happily married with children. When her husband reveals that he's not who he says he is her world is turned upside down. Angry at herself and even more angry at him she doesn't know what to do. The thing is her husband isn't the only one hiding secrets. My heart broke for her and what she went through. I understood her actions as well. I hoped in the end she wouldn't give up on love and that she'd stay with Dan.When the secrets are uncovered and the truth is finally revealed will love be enough? Or will the heartbreak be too much?I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a read that will make you think and make you feel all kinds of emotions. It shows what love can make people do some crazy things and we all make mistakes but it's how you own up to them enough to move forward. I liked that even though things were serious in this book it was uplifting as well. I would love to read more books about this family especially the kids!! Now I'm craving both chocolate cake and lemon chiffon cake like the Beckett boys!! If you haven't already One-Clicked Buy It Today!!
