Bayonet Lens Hood Shade for Canon PowerShot SX60 HS Digital Camera (Replaces LH-DC90)

I was uncertain, as other generics had lots of fit issues, and this one was amongst the cheapest and had no reviews. The unit does snap on the front bayonet, and going on it feels exactly like the Canon filter adapter feels, so I think the fit is good. While unlike what I read about some others, it does reverse for compact storage...BUT be aware that is does NOT lock onto the bayonet in that position. It is a friction fit only, and my unit was QUITE snug...too snug, I felt! The description of the Canon model in the SX60 manual says that theirs does lock in place inverted. So, in the end, realizing I really couldn't reverse it when not needed without either scratching the lens barrel, or losing the hood, I returned this and got the Canon...which does lock reversed, as claimed.Overall, and for the price savings over the Canon, I am happy!

Fits my SX-60 like the original. It does cause vignetting at low zoom so I zoom out a little. Problem solved

Keep the model numbermarking on the right & twist clockwise & it's snaps into place. Best part is it fits in my ruggard hunter35 bag with hood on! No need for me to reverse. Cool.Only time will be removing is for ND Filter.

Yeah it fits and did not have to pay a high price. Have to make sure you line it up when putting it on. Other than that woo hoo.
