Vedalax very effective for my little dog.
My little dog gets hair balls from licking his hair off - allergies. These hair balls interfere with his ability to eat and causes tummy pain that he tries to alleviate by licking more. As soon as I give him the Vedalax, it seems to soothe him. It is a major help to moving hair through his system. He is allergic to many meds so I use Benadryl for the allergies (mostly grass). I now use the Vedalax as a preventative. Very glad my granddaughter told me about it.

good stuff
has your dog ever started yelping and running around mid-poo? did you go to comfort your terrified pup and find that she has grass/hair/napkin/or other type material protruding from her brown hole? you may then have tried to GENTLY pull the material out (with a gloved hand of course) only for your poor pup to yelp in pain.. the material still very much stuck, sticking out, and getting poo wherever your very scared dog sits or lays down at, now likely refusing to move from said spot out of fear... so you hurriedly try to find answers on the internet but find it difficult because you aren't even sure what exactly your dog is suffering from!?WELL, heres what i found: 1. DO NOT TRY TO PULL THE MATERIAL OUT YOURSELF!!!! You don't know far back that material goes, if you TUG on it, you could seriously injure your dog's internal organs, causing internal bleeding or idk, DEATH. do NOT try to remove the material yourself. worried about the poo? put down a towel or two.2. CALL your veterinarian ASAP!!! Depending in the severity, you may have to take your dog to the vet.3. Luckily for my dog and I, my pup was able to finish passing the rest of the material on her own with the help of THIS PRODUCT, access to lots of clean drinking water, lots of comfort, cuddles, PATIENCE, and excercise (like going for a walk if your pup is up for it) ♥️

Good Product
I got this for my toy poodle who gets hairballs & honestly I guess it worked okay or would have maybe except he didn't like it. But he's picky. Working great for my cat though so 4 stars. :)

Worked on a Dog that ate SAND
That's right. SAND. My bf and I took our dogs to the beach and we noticed the one dog was rolling his ball in the sand and digging alot more in the sand but thought nothing of it. That is until he went to the bathroom the next day and he pooped a sand castle. His poop was very gritty. And that couldn't feel good coming out. We were going to be at the beach for a few more days and I didn't want to leave him behind. I called the vet and the vet recommend we give him some of this at night to help coat his insides. We used this for three days. We did notice that his stools became loose on the last day but he didn't get constipated and he seemed to not strain when using the bathroom. Once he stopped passing sand ..which was about 48 hours after we came back from vacation he stopped passing sand and we stopped using.

Hope somebody likes it
I wasnt able to find our usual brand so I bought this one to try. Could barely even get them to try it, the old brand was literally gobbled up by the 2 cats. I noticed this brand barely has a malt smell, but it does have a distinct petroleum smell that even is off putting to me. I kneaded the tube before using. Guess I continue my search for our old trusted brand.

EASY maintenance to prevent a potentially hazardous problem. My dogs love the stuff!
My adopted dogs have not had a problem with hairballs, since I have had them. However, the female likes to groom her brother's face, and they both lick the floor periodically. Sometimes the male has a gagging cough (like he has hair in his throat), and a little dollop of Vedalax clears it right up. I have no interest in facing a health emergency, or maybe even surgery, for a problem that is so easily prevented with maintenance. They both LOVE the malt flavor the Vedalax, so it's a breeze to give them. The tube is on the small side, but they only get a little each time. I would recommend this to a friend with cats or dogs.

Hairball gone!
I adopted a cat from the animal shelter. She started coughing up a hairball a couple of weeks later. I got this at my vet the first time. Once a week I put this on her paw, close her in the bathroom for about 10 minutes where she has time to lick the stuff off of her about 10 minutes where she has time to lick the stuff off of her paw. It works. I've bought my second tube of this on Amazon. Good price!

What my vet uses, because it works!
Every year one of my cats goes through a bad hairball bout - lots of throwing up, not eating, sleeping all day. The first time it happened we brought him to the vet, concerned that he was sick. The vet gave him a blob of this stuff and sent us home with a tube. It worked immediately. We administer according to instructions and before we know it our guy is back to normal. He hates it (he’s ridiculously picky) but I don’t care because it works.
